I'd feel a lot better about him if he has 25 lbs heavier. Consensus is that he knows all the calls and can handle the mental aspect, but can't handle an interior DL without 2 big guards next to him and doesn't have the athleticism to make up for it. Maybe I'll be wrong
Ohio State picked up 3 CB’s for 5 star edge rusher Dylan Stewart last night but Lightfoot is probably going to choose OSU over us which is fine. I trust in this staff.

I know it makes sense but it's still a little weird seeing usc and ucla in the big ten recruits rankings.

Werner moved Ca'lil Valentine's status from Warm to Warmer.
They didn't take him early and then he wouldn't visit...more surprised it wasn't UGA.
Bret wasn’t sold on the kid … We didn’t push his visit up when we knew Kansas was a major threat and looking to lock it down …

been warmer for a bit now. CB's for Utah came after that unfortunately. CB's certainly aren't infallible, but when they come during commitment week after all his OV's....doesn't leave me super confident.

-any other prospects that we should be excited about but might not be as highly regarded - at least by the ranking services

Man I hope we get him but I don’t think it’ll happen. And that’s okay. This recruitment is all house money. We aren’t supposed to be able to go toe-to-toe with tOSU and take a recruit from them that they truly want.
Pecking order isn’t in our favor…yet.
But just keep winning the recruitments against peer schools more often than not, let this staff develop the hell out of these players, and average 8 wins a season over the next 5 years. Then we shall see just how hard it is to take a recruit from tOSU.
I’m in this for the long haul and am completely bought in.
(But DAMN would it be awesome to nab ML today)

So, this could be a real bad week huh? Knight to FSU on Saturday, Lightfoot could go to OSU today and Vallentine most likely to Utah on Saturday.
If he commits to OSU I’m not expecting them to just go away. They are going to fight….like they did with Elzy. But yes they aren’t quite there yet, almost but it’s going to take some consistent winning seasons. Doesn’t happen overnight. We’ll be fine though. We are in a good spot!
