for those who know better than me, i dont understand why the offense hasn't adjusted the game plan to assume poor O line play. There are ways to account for it, screens, roll outs, moving the pocket, quick routes, slants (like the first game)...but it doesn't seem we utilize these strategies constently.

worse, we keep running between the tackles even though we dont get any push.

am i way off on this? really would hope lunney can figure this out. also, play underclassmen and bench anyone underperforming; i think wilcher and feagin need more run

It's hard call any plays when there are consistently defenders in the backfield off the snap. If you try too many of those types of plays like screens and short passes what you get even more of is a defense that isn't going to respect anything deep and just crash the line of scrimmage. We used to see so many of those bubble screens that went nowhere for exactly this reason. There's not much you can call as a coordinator when your guys are consistently getting beat one on one.

I think this season is essentially over. I don’t think we can bounce back from this level of defeat.

I hope we continue to get some reps for the young guys, and then hit the transfer portal and assistant coaching market hard after this season is mercifully behind us.

That’s where I’m at too, get the young kids more pt, if we’re going to lose big, we may as well develop the youngsters.

I just hope that we don't have some of our promising youngsters transfer out............I'm all for playing the frosh more and keeping them here.....our incoming portal players has been underwhelming , at best......
