This game is infinitely more interesting than it was exactly one week ago. Hopefully everyone is healthy and ready to go. Win this, and a bowl is in sight, but one game at a time.

Does anyone have any info on Elzy? I know he did not make the trip, but is there any news on an injury? Very concerning either way.

Interesting how serious the hand injury is
Looked bad. Hand injury. You could read his lips saying, I can’t throw.

In his postgame press conference, Luke Fickell provided an update on the Badger gunslinger.

“It doesn’t look good for a little while. He couldn’t grip the ball,” said Fickell when asked about the injury. We will see if there is a clearer update later in the week.

What a difference one game can make in our collective psyche
Not just any game. Maryland looked like a matchup nightmare, especially after the previous two weeks - not to mention it being a road game, on their homecoming.

Many were expecting a blowout, and honestly that was a fair expectation. Going in there and gutting out this particular W goes a long way in changing mindsets.

Now to see if they can build on this. I'm hopeful, and that feels lightyears better than how I felt after the Nebby game.

Wisconsin was favored by 6.5 @Purdue and by 5.5 @Washington St. Mordecai's hand injury may impact this match-up, provided Fickell divulges his updated status in advance of Saturday.

Just Another Guess: Perhaps Wisconsin -4.0

Bret will use the momentum change from today's upset win, and have the Illini ready to fight against his old team next game. Here's to hoping our turnovers and stupid penalties will not reappear in bunches, and we don't beat ourselves.

The Badgers convert those yards into 27 points per game, while we convert ours to just 20 PPG. Of note, we're now the #3 passing team in the Big 10 behind only Ohio State and Maryland.

Badgers:

Throw all the Badger stats out the window if they have to go with QB #2. No way to know what the game script is going to look like.
