Well, my friends, that guy Steve who makes picks on ESPN Gameday picked Illinois and he is garbage. They showed his record picking games and he is like 11-19. Hopefully this is the week he goes on a run and we win going away.
Hope we're a truffle today!

Iowa won in spite of their offense. They didn’t win because they had 200 yards rushing and 37, yards passing
Yea but it was about it was about even in terms of time of possession which I think is what we need to replicate or do better. If our offense just dink and dunks all day, we’ll leave our defense out there too long and they’ll break. I don’t think 237 total yards of offense is good but if we control the clock with that type of output we at least give ourselves a chance.

Yes, but @illini0440 is correct. The reason time of possession was near even had nothing to do with Iowa's offense.

Of Wisconsin's 14 drives (not including end of 2nd qtr drive):

- 8 3-and-outs (includes safety)
- Only 3 drives longer than 10 plays
- Only 3 drives went longer than 4 minutes

If Iowa had any offense, the time of possession battle should have tilted strongly in Iowa's favor. So yes, Iowa won in spite of their offense.

I do agree though. We need to win time of possession battle or be close to even to win.

Something came up this morning so we couldn't head down early to tailgate. We are now going to arrive around 1 or 1:15. What are the food trucks like around the stadium or are we better off heading in and getting concessions at that time?

There are some good food trucks inside this year, and 1-2pm is happy hour with $3 hot dogs, domestic beers/Trulys, and pop.

I kinda like to be contrarian, but I think focussing on time of possession is misguided. Now, number of PLAYS I do think is important. I think a D gets less worn out defending five plays that run 1:30 off the clock, than defending seven plays that run 1:15 off the clock. But maybe I'm missing something.

Just win, baby!
