Having a really good point guard would take the ball out of their hands more and allow them to get the ball in scoring position and not have those TOs. Obviously, TSJ is a guy who needs the ball in his hands, but a really good point guard limits their TOs.

This team will be fun to watch and will get better and more cohesive. Still feel like PG is gonna be an issue in high level games.
Coleman shooting 3's are equal to turnovers. Supposedly coaches keep saying shoot it cohawk.
Ty Rodgers should have been on Kolek. Not Luke and Domask.

Even though Hawkins played better in the 2nd half, he’s not helping this team.
Yeah, this was a great team we played. Not good. Great. In the first half, they looked like the best team I've watched this season. They have played together an entire season already, basically all the same guys this year as last year. You can tell we still have guys still learning how to play with one another. There was a stretch in the second half where we played like I think this team is capable down the road after they get more time together.
The RAC is a tough place to play, but Rutgers definitely looks like they've fallen off this year. I was worried about that game before the season started, but seeing both teams play, I now think we take it. FAU on the other hand is going to be a problem
Winnable game. Score could have been bad if we didn’t hit threes at a decent clip. Shame it didn’t go our way, but we are/will be tough this year.
My biggest takeaway after seeing this team play #1 Kansas and #4 Marquette is man, we need to be a lot more disciplined defensively if we want to live up to lofty expectations. Way too many shots at the rim tonight for Marquette against an Illinois team that’s going to lean heavily on that end of the floor. I don’t think we made life hard enough for them in the paint (and same against KU), and we had way too many breakdowns off PnR
Goode and Dain can be extremely potent weapons offensively… both really need to improve on defense. We need more from Quincy offensively; same goes for Ty, but I thought he played pretty aggressive tonight minus passing on a layup there at the end.
Just too many turnovers from our veterans to overcome mistakes on defense, and no shocker, #4 made us pay. I think we’ll be OK and improve as the season goes on, but it starts on defense, and the ability for a crafty PG like Kolek to absolutely break us down in simple PnR action is something we have to get better at, or we will lose games

2. Dainja- not sure he can process what he needs to do out there to be an effective player- especially on defense
3. Freshmen who played looked very tentative- not playing freely
4. We are not deep so far

Some TSJs TOs pushing the ball up the floor reminded me of us at Purdue last year. I just kept thinking, if he would back next year, we’ll have a PG who will take him out of those situations.
This team has talent and is gonna win a lot of games, but as most of us knew this summer, as John Groce learned, to truly reach potential, you have to have someone who can control the ball.

Hawkins seems lost on Offense. Never makes 3's vs. good competition. Shannon has improved his 3 pt shot dramatically. Really miss Sincere on D. He could have slowed down Kolek.

Turnovers and layups were the difference. At least Goode and Domask are beginning to show they understand that they have to score or at least always look to score for this team to beat good teams. CoHawk may never understand that and he should be able to score 12+ against any team.
A good effort from the start and Goode finally played a decent game at both ends even though MU took advantage of his defense in the first half. Q didn't get going nor did Amani and I hope to see that change. DD needed more court time and that should not have come late.
Game could have been won but wasn't and should piss these kids off. The difference was in the little things but it was a good fight and learning experience.
A serious respectful nod to TSJr. for a terrific effort. I think he is showing the NBA that they need him. CoHawk...maybe not as he still makes a handful of the same blunders on top of otherwise smart and unselfish play. Maybe he should make an effort to get his every night....huh?
