I started getting a bad feeling with about 5 minutes left when they had the third and 7 deep in Lion territory and did a nondescript run up the middle (by Herbert I think) and then kicked a field goal to go up 26-14. At least go for the first down. Score a touchdown there and you're up 30-14 with maybe 2-3 minutes left. I really didn't have a problem with the field goal on fourth and one to go up 23-14, I would have been fine going for it too.

I like the sounds of this. Use it to get more offers, take the biggest offer.
That is a good first offer. Let the competing offers role in. I want a minimum of 6 picks over the next 2 years, none lower than a 3rd. Or, 5 picks and a DUDE, over the next 2 years with nothing less than a 4th.

EDIT: Ok……. So I just realized that post was 11 months ago…… my feelings stand for this year though!!! 🤣

I’ve got a fever…and the only prescription…is more wide receiver screens.

I think in a weird way, the only reason Eberfluss hasn't been fired yet is because two of his coaching staff were unceremoniously shown the door for moral issues. You can't do a total makeover mid season.

Probably because there wasn't a competent coordinator on staff that could take over and run the team. The hothead in me would have been fine with Eberfluss being shown the door the Monday morning after the Denver or Detroit games. But allow me to play devil's advocate. Can you honestly say the team has not improved significantly over the course of the season, in particular the defense, which is his deal. 4-4 over the past 8 after an 0-4 start. I really don't think he's a good coach and as of now I would fire him at the end of the season, but what if they really somehow ball out over the last 5 games? Is it fair to can the guy, in particular that the first year of his tenure they were trying to lose games on purpose?
