I think Rutgers will be foolish to do anything to Pikiell even if they miss the tourney for a couple years or three. To me, just like a lot of other coaches, Pikiell needs senior guards who perform and they simply don't have them this year. They either have to pull them from the Portal or wait until they grow up. I am not super high on Pikiell so far though since he has not shown abilities to pull in good transfers. However, if he can lure in a #2 prep class, why can't he do that with transfers?
He needs to pull in some transfers to supplement that incoming prep class or they are not going to be nearly as good as they should be.

Brings in the right group of older transfer and they will arguably be the preseason Big10 favorite.

psu is kinda awful this year so far...........terrible shooting against scUM this morning...........

hard game to watch because of inept play by both teams..............

PSU vs scUM on a neutral court should not be allowed unless every team is forced to play one of their home conference games on a neutral court. I know this is PSU decision but it gives the team who plays them a scheduling advantage. That is my take from a larger balance of conference schedule view

At the same time I see why PSU wants to play the game in Philly. Closer to recruits and alumni. Let’s face it PSU has a hard time filling their home arena

I don’t think it would be a bad idea for neutral conference matchups especially winter break conference games. The only way it should work if a team plays the other team once that year. So for this year Illinois vs Wisky in Chicago or Milwaukee. Advantage of neutral court is it make it easier to get a quad 1 game

going to have to start rooting for Michigan soon (🤮 or at least hope that they don't lose so much) so they don't fire Juwan. Need that dude to stay coaching in the B1G as long as possible.

I wish I didn't know about the Elam ending. Watching the end of games like this PSU/Michigan game are annoying.

IMO, the conference schedules are already so unbalanced that this is in the noise wrt. the conference championships. I do agree that it helps with the NCAA. So a win for the conference?

I hope the big ten goes to a total round Robin schedule of 17 games when the west oast teams are added.

Minnesota currently leads Illinois in the B1G standings, which tells you what you need to know about the predictability of the B1G standings at this moment.

Catching up with msu @ NW

Illinois made NW look bad. Northwestern up 8 over sparty

Northwestern finally gets a break in their B1G schedule by...hosting Michigan State. Leads 38-28 late in the first half.

(This is sarcasm, they really got a rough start to conference play, just like Illinois did).

Their upcoming schedule continues to be fun and exciting, for after one game at PSU, they play @Wisconsin, @Nebraska, vs Illinois, vs OSU, @Purdue, then @Minnesota and vs Nebraska before they finally start to see some of the other weaker teams.

Maybe NW will beat MSU badly enough that last week's win becomes a Quad 2 win.

#149
I do not think Michigan state will stay a quad 1 based on this lol

On the flip side, we might get a very pissed off and desperate MSU squad come Thursday. Have to come out ready to play.
Feel like Illini should be pretty pissed off about how they got punked for so long in their last game. I could see an issue if we pulled off the amazing win, I think we will match that pissed off energy that they bring.
