Once TSJ came alive with those two layups, Rutgers was done for. Turned a 55-51 game into a laughter.
What are you serving this week?I was watching while cooking for the week, but from what I saw, no one really played small and there weren't hugely apparent chemistry issues. That's freaking great, considering the dudes who stepped up while TSJ was out could have been irked about a reduced role.
I love this team. I love their chemistry and I love how they're ready to face anything together. I know we've known this for a while, but this season is going to be special
I promise I’m NOT trying be contrarian. I take your meaning. But…I think he’s more like a bigger stronger Epps without all the BS. (skillset-wise he is at least IMO)There is just so much Feliz in Harmon.
A bull.
I do agree this should help Illinois down the stretch. I just don't want this to be a habit where they build a lead and then allow their opponents to make a run against them when it could be avoided because there will be a time, said opponent will take the lead and possibly win.We continue to manifest our maturity this year by withstanding comeback runs by opponents.
The team seems really steady right now.
If he keeps it up, he’ll just be Harmon, and we’ll be deciding if future guard transfers are worthy of comparing to him.I promise I’m NOT trying be contrarian. I take your meaning. But…I think he’s more like a bigger stronger Epps without all the BS. (skillset-wise he is at least IMO)
Yep.If he keeps it up, he’ll just be Harmon, and we’ll be deciding if future guard transfers are worthy of comparing to him.
And a lot of people thought it wasn’t a very good class including a lot of so called expertsAbsolute home run transfer portal class. Welcome back TSJ
He did redeem himself. I noticed after he TOed the ball when he was running point guard, he was very upset with himself running back. Good sign. The first few games Harmon played in, I thought he was overmatched and wondered what Underwood saw in him.
Man, was I wrong, that kid can play.
yes BU has shown this season that it is possible to find transfers that fit and contribute to a great team culture. I am confident in BU's future ventures into the portalAbsolute home run transfer portal class. Welcome back TSJ
You think we’ll have to score more than 86 to beat NW?Did not shoot well today. Will have to shoot better Wed. The team responded the last 10 minutes. Was great to see them respond that way.
I'll admit I wasnt sold on this year's transfers before the season. I was hopeful, but after the Mayer debacle last year....And a lot of people thought it wasn’t a very good class including a lot of so called experts
Beef chili and buffalo chicken (that's for salads)! What are you serving this week?
Brad deserves so so so much credit for Domask, Harmon and QG. They have be such a blessing for us fansAbsolute home run transfer portal class. Welcome back TSJ
I’ve been watching almost as long, and I would put the Flyin’ Illini in this conversation — 4 starters avg double figures, Bardo shot almost 50% + Smith/Liberty provided good support off bench. They said, the current squad has a lot more size and rebounds better. In 66 years of watching Illini basketball, I have never seen such an offensively diverse, capable, balanced, and talented offensive mix of skills. Planning to stop two players from going for 20+ is a total waste of time...and that is the typical plan of most coaches. Doesn't work against Illini. Rutgers did play some smart, tough defense at times, but to focus on stopping one player gives another the opportunity to shine...and they did.
What does that mean. Simple. When this experienced, long, smart, and talented defensive team is focused and energized, it will be tough for any team to beat them.
