TSJ noticeably went right often, and that helped his flow.

Peacock had a bad game. The camera was stuck on that overhead view and then the network started malfunctioning on that last camera too before adjusting. Audio quality was average for me.

Team moved the ball. Freshmen showed tenacity.

Refs impacted the game, which is normally not good, but we need to keep our heads, especially one guy.

I’m happy with how we won.

This is a rare game after which I was comfortable coming to the forum right after the game. A nice comfortable road win with 10 players contributing. It feels good.

Brad finally listened to me and let the young guys get some tick ... Lol ...

DGL provided some much-needed energy ... Hansberry with a nice take down the lane ...

When our older guys don't give us a bite defensively ... Hope Brad goes back to those young guys ...

Really impressive win tonight. There were a lot of good things tonight
-TSJ being alive again
-Great minutes from Amani and Lawhorn (they should've gotten a few minutes in the 2nd half)
-Excellent minutes from Dain, especially rebounding and being alive defensively.
-Great offensive flow and execution tonight.
-Fantastic game from Ty, he was the lynchpin of the first half.

The bad:
-A little concerning that Quincy is starting to become inconsistent recently. For a while you could book him as a double-double machine and it was almost all energy and occasional open 3's. Right now his activity is sluggish, his aggressiveness is almost non-existent (turning down open 3's), he's not cutting much or driving, and has become undependable from 3. I'm not trying to pour on the guy, but it's more that I see him as being VERY valuable and we need him.
-Defense in the first half until the last few minutes was very bad.
-Coleman is supposed to be our veteran leader and he just didn't play well tonight and was very immature getting that tech (honestly he's been begging to get one lately).
I don’t think Quincy is feeling right. I don’t remember seeing that wrap on his right calf/leg previously. At times he seemed a little gimpy…

For my money, I truly loved this game. Bucks are a very skilled but overall, young, team...very dangerous and full of potential. What I liked was the skill and purpose with which the Illini played to their strengths. Efficient and balanced scoring is a beautiful thing.

Eighteen for twenty on Free Throws while committing only 6 turnovers is something I have prayed for the Illini for decades!!!!!!! That is how you win on the road against talented teams.

Only thing I did not like was CoHawk's whining technical....long overdue and I hope a lesson learned. Fortunately, no price to pay tonight for a huge mental blunder. But he did make his only three attempt, getting his "puppies" set and firing in rhythm.

Cudos to DD for a solid performance. Kid has a world of talent and super stardom in his future if the light ever goes on for defense. A personal favorite of mine and will be sorely needed at some time....like tonight.

Overall, this is a solid win for a program that has laid a bushel of eggs in Columbus over the years.

Finally, welcome back TSjr.!!!!

Other than the '05 game, I feel like it's kinda underrated in Illini lore how bad we've been in this building.

So I'll ignore that OSU is cratering and that there were a few thousand empty seats tonight and savor this one.

He's as good as gone after the year ... They are already back channeling with candidates ...
Am I wrong to think he is a good coach but has maybe got himself in trouble recruiting too many offensively talented guys and getting away a bit from what he did at Butler? I feel like his teams were a lot tougher at Butler and his first year or 2 at OSU.

Agree with this take. QG's defense not so great either and FT shooting poor. Luke was getting abused out there on individual D as well. Otherwise, hard to find anything not to like about this win. Sure CH had the tech but better now than when it might count more later. Love seeing Ty play and kudos to him for really improving his FT shooting- he does so many things that don't show up on the stat sheet to help them team win.

Not sure if it is that cavernous arena but the Buckeyes students didn't seem to rattle TSJ very much. Northwestern's students were worse and they were mild at best. I think MSU and Maryland students will be a little more raucous against TSJ but good bounce back game and the first time that he seemed a little more like himself.

Really good convincing road win that should quiet the doubters

Funny thing is I don’t think Coleman deserved one here, there’s been times I thought he has. Weird refereed game.

To be fair though, OSU always has that bad camera angle
