State got to the rim whenever they wanted and MADE the shot. We had no answer. Maybe DD should have gotten more minutes as their bigs never shot from outside so he could have camped in the lane, but not when riding the pine.

Xs and Os aside, we look like a team that is absolutely emotionally drained. Think the TSJ stuff took more of a toll (and is still) than we realize.

I mean he’s right, but the collapse prior to the last 2 mins was all coaching.

That's because in the BIG this year the home team has won over 70% of the time. To prove you are a legitimate contender in the tournament, you have to win these type of games... not collapse at the end of games.
And he'd be right. None of that assessment is incorrect. All of that is 100% in the players control.

Luke Goode just CANNOT play in the final 5 minutes of games. Ty needs to bring the ball up & play at the end of games…. Say what you want about the players but this game was 100% on Brads ridiculous substitutions. Horrible.
I don’t get the love affair with Justin Harmon that BU seems to have, playing him at key x over Ty. They will take it out on Michigan on Tuesday.

Yes but if a couple of the shots went down we wouldn’t be talking about this. And those shots were pretty darn close to falling. Hawkins missed some in the first half that went in and out. Shannon missed a couple wide open shots that looked like they were going in and Goode as well. If those fall it’s a different story.

That can't be the thought process 7 minutes out. We literally didn't score for 7 minutes. If we were even marginally competent, we would have been shooting free throws to close it out.
Those fouls on Goode at the end of the game. Really. Utterly frustrated. Of course he can’t play defense. The refs won’t let him and MSU knew they could run right at him.
Why do you think MSU attacked him relentlessly? Because they know he can’t play defense without fouling. The refs were bad but aside from the Coleman tech did not affect us more negatively than MSU.
Goode is a situational player and Brad is playing him like a two way stud.

No, that I disagree with, this team shares the ball really well in my view. One of our strengths.

It wasn't really the small quick guards though.
Shannon basically locked Walker down after the early game and they did a great job on Akins. It was really just getting bullied by Hall that got MSU back in the game.
He also doesn't know how to pronounce Illinois.
When our offense was rolling through Hawk and we built a lead for some reason we went away from it and took some so so shots. I really love TSJ attacking the hoop and taking open shots that come to him from 3. The last two games I just think he is taking a few at the wrong times. Last game from 3 TSJ was 3 of 10 and today 2 of 9 for 5 of 19. I know he can get hot but attacking or driving and passing unless its a clean look are better options imo. TSJ is looking better but basically double digit three point attempts from him its a bit too many. Other than that TSJ played great but I would've preferred continuing to roll though Hawkins until they stopped it. Going away from what was working vs Nebraska and MSU let them both comeback. We could've easily been up 10 or more if we stuck with it.
