If I ever see us run that godawful "football" inbounds play again I might punch a hole in my TV to be honest.

Has never worked consistently since we started using it. Leads to a coffin corner trap 70% of the time. Almost cost us last game too if we didn't get bailed out with a foul in the same situation.

disappointed let down GIF

And...another ranked team loses on the road to an unranked team. It fits this record obliterating season to a tee. At least TSJ had a career night 🔥 I really hope Brad relieves Hamer of his duties :poop:

I hope he chewed their arses. Right after he took accountability for the nosedive this team has taken…particularly the defense and the lack of poise/composure his teams so often play with in the closing minutes.
Haven't we heard this before, though. bu's upset and blah, blah. And have things really changed?

If we're still talking about chewing arses out, isn't it the "same old, same old?" Aren't you tired of it?

I would post what I texted a friend, but I would be banned. Not one to get mad about losses, but - :poop: That is all....

Coleman Hawkins in the last 40 seconds:

(1) Went for a steal after TSJ's miss rather than running back on defense, allowing a 3-on-1 which led to PSU hitting an open 3 pointer
(2) Didn't come back to help a trapped TSJ off the inbound
(3) Missed two free throws
(4) Fouled PSU's three point shooter
When was his birthday?

Am I wrong in thinking that Tyler could be on a trajectory to being on that level strategy wise?

Tyler is very, very good ... We clearly do not have a problem offensively ... Tyler deserves a ton of credit for that ... He took that over this offseason and made adjustments to fit our personnel ...

Tyler basically shadowed Gentry when he was here ... They have always been close since SFA days ...

I would not want to be in that locker room. Can only imagine what Brad said to them, especially Coleman
Man, I don't know. His press conference comments made me even angrier. His passive acknowledgment about the defense is infuriating. His entire press conference should have been that our defense SUCKS, has sucked for a while, and change starts now. But the crap about toughness, blown assignments, blah blah blah. I'm not overreacting and saying he should be fired, but I absolutely do not understand why he's not showing more urgency and passion to change the only thing that's keeping this team from being a Final Four contender: CRAP DEFENSE. This is not an anomaly...this is the trend of who this team is.

Don't think people really understood his value because he was such a quiet guy ... Some might say he was a little "weird" ...

But I think everyone has one of those guys they know that is a little "weird" but also is just an absolute dawg at what they do ... We miss him ...
IIRC, “insiders” said that Antigua and Chin didn’t like him and don’t want to coach with him. It was definitely implied that him leaving would make it more possible they would have stayed.

And the second half turnovers....I didn't even get into that either. I'm boiling with this loss. The others were disappointing but this was by far the most avoidable.

Not a single word from BU in the presser taking any of the blame for this meltdown. The past 2 years it seems like we have regressed down the stretch, when good teams do the opposite. A glance in the mirror occasionally, and a realization that your stubbornness is not an asset, might help.

Chester said it himself this week on Twitter....defense is 90% effort, grit, and toughness.

Simply no excuse for us being so god awful on defense that we let Nebraska, MSU, Maryland, and Penn State score 80+ points each on us.
I don't know that I agree with that. Technique, attention to detail, and discipline are pretty important. Yes, this team lacks toughness, but it's also horrendous defensively at the 3 things I mentioned, which is a major reason why they suck so bad defensively right now. I don't think it's just a toughness issue.

All time bad loss. No way to sugarcoat it. But the “fire Brad”, “time to start looking for a new head coach” talk is just ridiculous. Need to improve the defense obviously. But even if they can become an average defensive team, this team could go far bc they are ELITE offensively. Probably Coleman’s worst game in 2 seasons. It happens. Learn from it and move on. I want deep March runs, Big Ten titles are gravy.
