Liked that middle stretch we had as a response. Need more of that in the second half. Gave it away near the end though.

Seemed to be looking towards halftime a bit too early.

Wish we could be up close to double-digits when they had Storr and Crawl out for a lot of time. But it’s better than being behind heading into the half. 😅

We never score on those 'hold for one' plays.
At this point we should just run our offense. When our hold for the last shot plays seem to lead to a turnover or no flow miss giving the ball back with a decent amount of time on the clock, you almost rather we run the offense, score and just give them the ball back with 15 seconds

All in all, happy with the half. We have the lead and still look to be in control of the outcome.

Storr was out so we’ll need to keep him from going off in the 2nd. I’d rather take the chance with Gilmore, even though we’ve made him look like an all-star

Unreal. I guess having Storr on the bench gave Illinois only a two-point lead because this defense sucks.

If you're going to foul someone, make them earn it at the stripe. DD's a big guy; no way you let him get that damn shot off. Why make a crap player a hero? And then a blown coverage? And lo' and behold, UW has all the momentum going into the second half.

Belein's right: Wisconsin is going to have 7 TOs in the second half. With Storr playing in the second half, maybe Wisky makes their run and wins. I'm concerned.

Then it seems like the other team always gets a 3 like Hepburn almost did.

When was the last time we scored on the last shot of the first half?
Four games ago, Shannon made two free throws with 3 seconds left. If you don’t count that, five games ago he hit a three with 6 seconds left.

However, in the last three games, we have had the ball and missed with 3 seconds or less in all three… and somehow gave up two points to Iowa on the Hail Mary.

Lets make sure we get the ball out of the halftime

Slow start to the game , get down by 9.............Impressive Illini run and we go up by 7...................slow play to end the half only up by 2...........

sounds redundant to me like almost every close game has been this year.........but , I'm encouraged by our second halves this year......

need to tighten up the D as best we can and let the O bring the victory home........jmho.........

This is the best our defense has looked in a while. We just have had a bunch of individual lapses / failures to finish off the possessions. I'm encouraged.
…Listening to radio…according to Barnhart & Thomas we held them scoreless for about 3 min.

So there’s that.

I worry about the tournament teams that are able to dictate tempo on us…and thus impose their will. Those type of teams often do well in March. I hope we get a favorable draw.

I don't understand how that was a flagrant foul on Dain. Marcus got hit in the head last game. They reviewed the play and said it was a common foul only. Makes no sense. Why don't we ever get those calls?
