Amazing performance. Walton and Jabbar come to mind. Plus, Pistol Pete.I've never seen a college player who can impose his
will on the opposition like TSJ and I've been watching college BB for 64 years. Just turned 70.
I want to match all the post game comments with the in thread comments. A lot of “fans” on here should be ashamed.
Not me. I figured we were gonna put on a run and make it interesting. I wasn't ready to give up. But I definitely did NOT see us winning by 11.When we were down by 15, how many of you were thinking that we would win by 11?
we gotta start putting tsj up there with kofi and ayo...
Strategically resting him for tomorrow.Where was Dainja today?
Did all that while also completely shutting down KT on defense. One of the all-time great single game performances in Illini history full stop."Shannon had no turnovers, becoming the first major conference player with 40 points and no turnovers in a conference tournament game in the past 25 years, according to ESPN Stats & Information research."
My favorite post in awhile. I’m not Googling “Jules Winfield style,” though, so I’ll just have to imagine.I couldn't watch the game. I had to attend a play this afternoon. Downtown. 30-min drive both ways. It had three acts, lasted 3:30, had two intermissions, and was, to put it as mildly and politely as possible, soft-core Marxist porn masquerading as TRUTH. Sometimes a man's gotta do...
[An aside: for the Illini ladies who post here, please remind your husbands to kneel in heartfelt thanks for your affinity for college ball. And then give you a foot rub Jules Winfield stylz]
Anyway, I can't watch the replay yet and saw only the final score (and word of TSJ's 40-spot) without reading any of the post game thread. Awesome, decisive victory. Since we obviously must have clicked on all 12 cylinders for 40 mins I'm going to treat myself, sit back with two fingers of bourbon, and leisurely enjoy what I'm confident was a uniquely positive, uplifting game thread with nary a disparagement of any aspect of our hallowed program. I need it after the afternoon I've had.

Sh!t yeah. I got my technique down and everything. I don’t be tickling or nothing. - Jules WinfieldMy favorite post in awhile. I’m not Googling “Jules Winfield style,” though, so I’ll just have to imagine.
Yeah the 40 points were fantastic and all. But the job he did chasing Tominaga around and limiting him cannot be overstated.Did all that while also completely shutting down KT on defense. One of the all-time great single game performances in Illini history full stop.
Made me think of Austin Carr's performance against UCLA. Hard to believe that Austin averaged 50 in seven NCAA games.Amazing performance. Walton and Jabbar come to mind. Plus, Pistol Pete.
Maybe it’s because I’m old.A lot of rec league all stars were full of negative comments in the first half. Pretty quiet now.
BTN guide shows 1 hour condenced replays of both semi games tomorrow from 1:00-3:00 pm.Anyone know where I can watch a replay? I forgot to record it and was away all day. Sounds like I missed a lot!

Yes, dead on. I am a puzzled about the idea that the players and coaches can express sharp concern about the team's performance and effort, but fans should never ever dare to notice shortcomings.Lol...stop. The team should be ashamed of the first half. Any fan calling them out in the first half was dead on.
What do you think Brad said? Should he be ashamed too?
