That doesn't make it any more accurate. People and their conspiracy theories these days... it's gotten out of hand. The post I referenced happened the day after our Sweet 16 win and well before last night's game.

there is some truth to that statement .No reason to. It will be preordained that UConn will play Duke or Purdue. It’s basically WWE.
Not all theories are "conspiracy theories" as in 'wild, baseless and out of left field'.That doesn't make it any more accurate. People and their conspiracy theories these days... it's gotten out of hand.

I actually thought it had some merit.
Was the TSJ story unpalatable enough the Committee would far prefer it not be part of the FF? - Oh Yes
Would the Committee prioritize trying to keep said story out of the FF? - I very much doubt it
But there's a big difference between prioritizing it and having it be a factor in the decision making.
Might it have factored into UI's bracket placement? - mayhaps
Do you really want Purdue to have a natty before Illinois? UConn is already pretty much a modern blue blood and it would take the sting out knowing that we lost to the team that won the chip.Eh, who would you rather see win a championship, Matt Painter or Dan Hurley? I am going for Purdue. Don't really strongly dislike any of their players except Loyer.
Rooting for N.C. State is a no-brainer.
Someone mentioned this above, but playing the men's and women's NCAA tournaments on the same days and having them compete against each other for viewers is dumb. I think N.C. State's men and women were even playing at the exact same time this week.
Unpopular or not, I really want to see the Purdue-UConn matchup. Want to see how it plays out with the bigs especially.
Honestly, having Purdue win before Illinois doesn't really bother me, though I am not surrounded by Purdue fans or anything out here in Spokane. Illinois will get there at some point. And ending the Big Ten title drought is actually something the conference needs.Do you really want Purdue to have a natty before Illinois? Only online would I ever talk to a Purdue fan. I think I've run into 1 person who is a Purdue fan in my 38 years of living in Central Illinois. (Springfield then Peoria area)We will never hear the end of it if Purdue wins a natty. There's no way I'm pulling for them.
One of our good friends got her BS in engineering from Illinois, then her MS from Purdue because her dad went there. She pulls for the Boilers for that reason. I'll never hear the end of it from her.Only online would I ever talk to a Purdue fan. I think I've run into 1 person who is a Purdue fan in my 38 years of living in Central Illinois. I love his mentality, but I'm petty af. At least I'm aware of my shortcomings?Wish everyone could get on this train #GoBoilers - but i get it
We all have viewpoints, some quite abstract. But another is that I would rather see Purdue win....as the Illini gave them all they could handle twice....plus I like B1G basketball.Do you really want Purdue to have a natty before Illinois? I'm in Indiana and I'm surrounded by Purdue fans. I'd rather Uconn win. At least there aren't many of their fans here. One of our good friends got her BS in engineering from Illinois, then her MS from Purdue because her dad went there.
