I was more interested to know why BU would allow the redshirt when he could have helped the team in some games? Just being a nice guy?... and practice daily against one of the best starting 5s in the nation? (I have no idea whether redshirts can do that but assume he did.)
I don't think he would have made the difference in beating UCONN or getting a higher seed.Waste of a redshirt year on a player whose defense we could’ve used this season
Conference tournament games only count as 1 game as per the guidlines as far as i know. I didn't see any mention in them as far as tournament games. The key words in the guidlines are scheduled games and completed games. I don't know the nuiances of that but i assume thats whats in play considering SIU played 30 or more games in both 19-20 and 21-22. So maybe those missing games is what the lawyers are counting on for the 30 percent, and IMO "scheduled" may play an important role. NCAA tourney games arent scheduled games for a school at the beginning of the season.1. you're not including postseason dates in your calculation. There were two more potential conference tournament games and 6/7 NCAA tournament games that would put him under the 30% threshold.
2. Their were two COVID seasons for basketball(2019-2020 and 2020-2021). Your only example of this is Cam Spencer but Spencer played in the 2nd half of the season so he doesn't meet the criteria.
Ty will make him cryChester gonna run off the bench and chest bump him when he comes back to the State Farm Center?
Both my little dudes think Sencire is the GOAT because he plays so hard. I will always appreciate him for the impact he's had on their mindsets and making them orange and blue for life.Exactly, he just has that spark in him that will be missed. I so wish we could keep him but he has to do what’s best for him.
Dreams are what life is made of, I believe is how the quote goes. Youngsters should be encouraged to fly! Also, step kiddo texted me immediately after the UConn game to confirm his verbal commitment to the Illini and promise a national championship when he gets here.
Edit: some would say it's a little early at 3rd grade but he seems pretty set.

Previous post didn’t work. Who is stopping this team?
Do you even Loyalty, bro? This board is a very strange place today
Tyler Wahl's probably ecstatic that his eligibility has run out.Can you imagine ANOTHER game in Madison where Marcus drops 31 points on the locals?
It could be possible that 3 games were cancelled before the start of the season and didn't make it onto the game schedule. Maybe, considering all things that year. One thing I didn't realize is how few games some programs played that year. Makes sense I guess, the major conferences had big financial incentives to try to have a season for TV, lower down that's less true, and they probably had less resources to prevent Covid outbreaks to boot.
Domask played more games than the entire seasons for Maine, Howard, or Chicago State. Tons of teams played less than 20 in the bottom half of D1. The Ivy League didn't play at all.
See above. And feel free to see for yourself

Nonconference seasons were truncated that year. No fans, remember. We only played 26 regular season games, with one more (UT-Martin) canceled due to Covid.
I would assume neither was 100% convinced he wouldn’t be here next year. At minimum, I’m sure he was an awesome asset on the scout team in practice this year.I was more interested to know why BU would allow the redshirt when he could have helped the team in some games? Just being a nice guy?
This would indicate otherwise:It could be possible that 3 games were cancelled before the start of the season and didn't make it onto the game schedule. Maybe, considering all things that year.
Mullins' brother and assistant coach will serve as the Dawgs' acting head coach as SIU prepares for its season opener Wednesday at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau.
This bums me out. He changed the trajectory of games last year... as a freshman... with only his defenseView attachment 33217
I think this all but puts the nail on this coffin. Will miss his electricity from last year. Safe travels Sencire
That wouldn't be very smart of Storr. It would/could be a repeat of the Domask/Shannon duo of 2023-24.If we get MD back AJ probably doesn’t come
In all seriousness, I’m glad he’ll grow up seeing great Illini teams. I was born in 1999, so I pretty much missed out onAlso, step kiddo texted me immediately after the UConn game to confirm his verbal commitment to the Illini and promise a national championship when he gets here.

Well, from Sencire's perspective, one year of work under Fletch is nothing to sneeze at.I was more interested to know why BU would allow the redshirt when he could have helped the team in some games? Just being a nice guy?
