Good for you, being considerate is a wonderful thing.

Kentucky might be well-advised to consider the idea of actually developing a coach of their own, from the ground up, rather than snatching a ready-made one.

I meant that as a thought experiment, not a prediction.

from all accounts seems like a decent person, but as a UK alum he’s a definite fall back/last resort type hire.. a guy you definitely know is saying yes if you offer. surprised it came to that so quickly

Or maybe he is truly religious and a humble guy. If you know differently, then great take. If you don’t, then who are you to judge this guy? So he makes a lot of money, so he isn’t religious or spiritual? He doesn’t come across as a self righteous jerk, but I guess AirNeazy is the spiritual decipherer at Illinois Loyalty.

My initial thought, "Good, something to distract the rabid Loyalty posters for a few hours"

This feels like a panic hire, of the "let's get this guy before we have to restart the coaching search" variety.

Let's face it this hire will be either Urban Meyer, Jags HC, or be Pete Carroll being hired at USC with no in-between. Plus if it is Carroll, NIL made some USC's tactics legal now....
