But if I’m being honest this is an absolute failure of a hire by Kentucky IMO … And could set them back …
I’m not saying this could end up like Kenny Payne did in Louisville but I could see some level of that happening …
Kentucky might be well-advised to consider the idea of actually developing a coach of their own, from the ground up, rather than snatching a ready-made one.
I meant that as a thought experiment, not a prediction.
Don’t you think retaining OA and adding another power recruiter then he might surprise some folks. Coach Pope can coach.

from all accounts seems like a decent person, but as a UK alum he’s a definite fall back/last resort type hire.. a guy you definitely know is saying yes if you offer. surprised it came to that so quickly
