This is so impressive by the boys. perfect team golf. 1 guy blows up each 18 but is carried by the rest of the team. Hunt holds it down when Jackson struggles, then jackson comes through when Hunt struggles. perfect!

I'm thrilled for this and looking at least 13 strokes on 8th. two rounds to go and leads can go but this has been great.

That is stanford’s problem i said earlier. Brown is a very solid 3. Vilips and thorborjonson are future pga pro guys who are very good. Their 4-6 guys are very inconsistent and not great. Its what almost cost them regionals

Afternoon rounds are about done now, and the 9th place score is +17. Only Ohio State among the afternoon teams held in the top 10, currently tied for 6th.

16th place right now is +24, so unless disaster happens tomorrow, Illinois will play a 4th round of stroke play.

Purdue has had a no good, very bad tournament. As example, Illinois is +4 over 36 holes. Purdue was +7 on just the 8th hole today, and +16 on the 7-8-9 closeout for the day.

I see college golf on the golf channel tomorrow. Think it's pretty normal that they don't cover the NCAA until Monday, when they don't have the pros to provide content.

It's on Tuesday and Wednesday as well, which is the more dramatic match play segment. Looks like it might not be live tho, as Monday coverage is 3:00 pm Pacific. Tuesday is 10:00 am Pacific but I'll bet that match play starts well before 10:00 am. I'm guessing that it will be edited.

Yes as the above poster said. They will broadcast all of stroke play Monday as well as match play Tuesday and Wednesday. I hope we get to a day where they cover the Friday-Sunday play too but with all the other golf on they don’t.

Speaking of Illinois golf, did anyone else this morning watch Thomas Pieters throw a fit on a tee in Belgium? Took a good hunk out of tee box grass, threw driver. Let his caddy repair the damage. Commentator was somewhat taken aback. Bad form, Tom. If I did that, I'd get tossed off the course.

Thomas is in contention. Go Thomas, but control the anger.

His temper has been his bugaboo for his career. Maybe he needs to talk to Jon Rahm.

I think even Arnold Palmer threw a club once or twice. First time, his dad Deacon said something like "if you ever do that again, you won't be playing golf any more while you're living under my roof." Second time he threw one, Terrible Tommy Bolt told him "Arnold, if you're gonna throw a club, throw it ahead of you; that way you don't have to walk back to retrieve it."

Speaking of a little more Illinois golf, I find it curious that our other Belgium connection, Thomas Detry chose to play in Texas this weekend rather than go home to play.
In fact they just showed Detry getting his 4th bogey in a row on his front nine today. But staying even keel.

Piercen had to wait 30 min to go off 10 because the organizers sent them off without enough time. What a disaster then he bogies cause he got so cold I bet didn’t help. What a joke. His playing partners went par birdie so maybe I’m making too big of a deal out of this. But it’s not that hard to schedule right. It shouldn’t happen like that. Waiting 30 min to tee off at a hole.
