Also of note, Illinois shoots a better number every day of the first three.
Its likely that FSU will be able to say the same

Vanderbilts drop score birdied 16-17-18 to finish +2 after a triple on 15. Great finish for the man but sucks for him that it didn’t contribute to his team score.

Illinois looks in good shape with 3rd round coming to an end soon. Illini with best team round today, 282, in tournament so far.

That is stanford’s problem i said earlier. Brown is a very solid 3. Vilips and thorborjonson are future pga pro guys who are very good. Their 4-6 guys are very inconsistent and not great. Its what almost cost them regionals
What a crash by them. They were in 5th place less than a day ago. They pushed that stick forward, hit the ground, and are now pressing for the mantle.

Yep thornbornjson has not been great. He carried them at regionals if he plays just below average they won’t make it. Vilips will still play tomorrow for a chance to win individual title so good for him.

Among the morning teams, Stanford looks like they won't advance, and East Tennessee State is in trouble if anyone near the cut line has a good round. Everyone else looks relatively safe for Monday.

Also, with Piercen and Jackson having solid rounds, every Illinois golfer is now in the top 50 individually.

I say this just as Tennessee posts a double to finish their round at +27 overall, right at the cut line now.

Speaking of Illinois golf, did anyone else this morning watch Thomas Pieters throw a fit on a tee in Belgium? Took a good hunk out of tee box grass, threw driver. Let his caddy repair the damage. Commentator was somewhat taken aback. Bad form, Tom. If I did that, I'd get tossed off the course.

Thomas is in contention. Go Thomas, but control the anger.
I actually looked To see if he was in contention and was like huh he literally is nowhere near the lead. Then I found out he was on the LIV and my first thought was they love that behavior. Anything to get eyeballs. I can’t even find a highlight of that because LIV is so insignificant

Purdue actually off to a hot start to their afternoon round, posting birdies on 4 of their first 5 scores of the day.

They would still need to make up an additional 13 strokes to hit the cut line, though. Team score of -17 on the day would do it, which would be....something.

5 birdies now wow great start. Theyre a very hot and cold team with a few great players. Just not nearly consistent enough.

Wake Forest also making an afternoon charge, starting the day 18th, but -4 in their afternoon round so far to climb to +22 overall, 11th place and just 2 shots back of 8th place Florida.

Seems like Oklahoma could move from#16 to make the cut. They're only 2 off the line and they've played the back nine. A good front 9 would get it done.

Wake has had a poor back nine, giving back 6 shots and now are a shot below the cut line with 4 holes to play. Oklahoma has climbed to +26, now one above the cut line.

This is going to be close. TTU charging, WF has 3 holes left with their best players including 18 twice and need 2 birdies to make top 15 and 1 to make it a tie for top 15. OU seems to be in and safe barring a collapse great round from them. Purdue has cooled off.

Texas Tech dropped 4 shots in the last two holes with a bogey-bogey-double stretch.

Wake is done at +29, which isn't going to cut it unless Oklahoma's last golfer takes a 10 on the 9th hole.
