I watched the Iowa state - Illinois game again tonight. Man, I love Rodger. But I will say it. I will miss Shannon, Domask and Hawkins. I really loved that team. From watching them live at the exhibition game against Kansas to the being in Omaha, the team last season was fun. #1 offense in the country.

I’m excited for what Brad can build this season. I trust him, more than I ever have. If he can build that team, I think we are in for a treat this season.

BU has traditionally made other teams match up to us rather than us to them. He has a deep menu however to counter most other teams from large (Ivisic) to quick (DGL). He has shooters, athletes, and size. He has also demonstrated flexibility to adapt to his current players skills although it has taken some time into the season. Think he will use ten players but maybe a different eight in various games depending on the matchups.

Memphis/Penny doesn't seem like a shrewd move, timing wise though. given his track record, you'd think he could do better. then again, this could be 4D chess

from our perspective, will this hurt us with Meanstreets?

if Penny's out, maybe Tim's being brought in to be Beard's top dawg. if Penny's out during the season, maybe Tim's the interim head coach. either way, it's a step closer to a head coach gig.

I can't imagine that Rez would want to leave when there is so much potential upside for him here....But, who knows what anybody will do anymore? The new landscape is like the "Wild West".
