Illini win 65-53......they didn't play their best but led almost the whole game and played like against FSU with an answer for every Marquette run....

What are reasonable expectations for this team?
The Big Ten has some really good teams but I think making the NCAA tournament as 6-10 seed seems reasonable. Could get a better seed but have to make the tournament this year

Shauna Green is building something special here.
A really good year would be finishing in the top 5 of the B1G and making the sweet 16, matching their best NCAA tournament performance in program history.
Expectations at this point is a winning B1G record and a non-First Four tournament appearance, preferably as the better seed in a first round matchup.

7 teams in the AP Top 25 lost this week. We started at #29 and went 2-0, with a convincing victory against #19 Florida State. I speculate we move into the rankings.
We should therefore expect both the MEN and WOMEN to be there by end-of-day Monday!

I keep hitting refresh on the AP site waiting for it to update. Going to be awesome to see both Illini teams potentially ranked again (wish the football team hadn’t lost - would have had all 3 teams ranked at the same time)
