After watching the men's and women's teams win in spite of dreadful shooting, I am ready for a more enjoyable game to watch this evening as the
women host EIU. At least they figured out they needed to take the ball to the hoop against Marquette when the outside shots were not falling.
Easier to do against a man to man, although KJ did attempt to dribble through the zone a couple of times!! It was frustrating because they started out so strong against the zone with good passing and getting the ball to the middle. Then it was like they forgot everything they had practiced. It is going to be an interesting journey as Brad and his coaches work to bring this very talented team together. Meanwhile Shauna and her staff have a veteran team to coach this season.
Buckle up hoop fans. It should be quite the basketball season to take in. LETS GO ILLINI!!

Hope to see more of Dolan, Allen and Wallace. they need to develop for 2025 season when our 7 SRs are gone. Hope Wallace's injury is not too bad.

Loved that Marquette game as on B10 network. Wish more of them were.

Why isn't the 5 star McDonalds all American freshman playing? (Berry Wallace). Has Illinois Women's team ever had this good of a recruit ? She's had 3 minutes total playing time in 3 games. Mainly on the bench watching the sizzling (13-49) FG shooting combo of Cook/Bryant. She'll be gone by Christmas so she can actually play somewhere.
