It was a great run by Bryant, but I want to shout out Collin Dixon (17) with a really nice block to ensure he got to the house.
I've seen one somewhere. I think it involves a scenario where Army wins out, Notre Dame and the Big 12 get left out, and a few other things. And then, even then it was like "one of these 4 teams would have to be in. And Illinois was one of those 4 teams. So even with all that craziness, it still wasn't a guarantee. But winning today still keeps the dream alive!
Temper your expectations for fun reasons. They were trying to react to the change of play call and then seemed to be in disbelief!

Same reaction here. I was already calculating to get altmyer up to spike the ball and then bring in Olano and had already start praying when I realized he had a lane to score.

Oddly enough, I think a 9-3 Illinois has a better resume than a 9-3 Missouri would. And if certain games go the way they could, some of those top 25 wins will start paying off here towards the back quarter of the season.
I'm still just in sort of numb disbelief.
We really had no business winning that game, all things considered. I'm sure I'm not the only Illini fan feeling very out of place winning a game this way.

Ha, I was there. It was not pretty. This more than makes up for it.
Kaliakmanis was Minnesota's quarterback in that game.
Especially with how the team did the following season.
All things considered, we win this game and it wouldn't probably be close if not for that silly play by Jacas... not to mention the PAT situation.

When we hired Bret, said all I want (for now) is a consistently competitive team that is going to bowls most years and winning 8-9 games occasionally (basically Iowa). It’s been a fun 4 years having saturdays relevant again. Hope we can take another step forward but just remember some of those awful 2-10 campaigns getting blown out by mediocre teams.
