The only argument (and it's not a strong one admittedly) for not taking the time out is because it was 3rd and long. If they don't get first down, they may not have had had time to get FG kick team on the field.

I actually don't mind not calling the timeout to preserve it for the inevitable 4th down FG. But it's still on coaching as that play has to come in hot. There is no reason they weren't able to get that play off at least five seconds earlier.

what other ways can this team/coaching staff find to lose a game? what will it be next week, a safety right at the end of the game?

Tuned into cowboys game just in time to hear the fox halftime crew ripping Eberflus to shreds. Awesome.

I've never seen a coach throw in the towel with 30 some seconds left down 3 on the final drive just needing a field goal to tie. That's exactly what Eberflus did. He reaches deeper and deeper into his bag of losing tricks to find new and creative ways to screw up late game situations

Time management isn't in his toolbox...he cramps up in the later minutes of a game...

No one has mentioned it, but Eberflus's bad decision to go for two earlier in the half meant the late FG would have tied it instead of winning it. He lost.this game.multiple times, imho.
