Agreed here. I tried to look him up to see if he had any catches this year - didn't think he did but wanted to verify - and he didn't even show on the roster. The fact he left the team so early answers that. That said...definitely looking forward to what Cole Rusk will bring to the party next year. Arkin did Ok for us this year - 16 catches for 3 TDs - but if we can get some really good production out of our TE spot and provide a legit option there for Luke, that will open up things a lot more for our WR corp.Pretty sure Guinn quit the team back in August according to Bielema. It's not even post worthy if he had already quit on his teammates and school he committed to before stepping on the field imo

Out of his final 5 schools, we were the first to offer him. I'm not sure if that really makes much of a difference.
An interesting prospect. Moves like a human size shrew. His body parts are all over the place. Has no idea how to use his hands. But he can move for such a big guy. A project but a potential high upside, IMO.
Not a highly touted guy out or HS, but I would think he would be one of the higher ranked WR transfers with that kind of production - had a 87.1 PFF grade at Liberty, was the 4th leading receiver at LSU though and considered the best blocking WR on the team and had the lowest drop rate, good route runner- seems like the perfect fit for what we need, Go get him!Another WR in the portal
Jayden Ballard the Ohio State wr has just opened up in the portal. He can be a great addition. Only one year left though. Well coached and SUPERB athlete.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jayden Ballard said he and fellow receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. used to go head-to-head for title of the fastest Ohio State footballplayer.
With Harrison heading off to the NFL — though without posting a public 40-yard dash time — Ballard said his quickest competition now comes from the cornerbacks.
I hear you, but playing behind Starvin’ for two years and then the freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith this past year is a tough break for anyone.Ballard has 11 career catches and will be a senior. That's the type of add that's probably best for the rebuilding years of Illinois (hello, Derrick McPherson!). Now, where would he fit? Illinois has lots of interesting younger WR options - I don't want to give Ballard opportunities at the cost of Dixon, Elzy, ACJ, Wilcher's of the world. Illinois should only be interested in a sure-fire starter. The LSU guy mentioned earlier makes sense - he's a guy you can expect to come in and catch 50 balls. Ballard should think about a Purdue or MAC school so he can start.
