How is the b1g preseason poy looking?So much for those B1G pre-season polls...
Purdue didn't show up tonight huh? Or did they get exposed? Only game of the season between the two teams. PSU Picked last or near the bottom, just destroyed Purdue, the pre-season number 1. The B1G is wide open. Tomorrow night will tell us alot when we play on the road in that highschool gym.

Final score says 81-70. It wasn't anywhere near that close. PSU took the Boilers to the wood shed and then some.
Reminder that before Edey, Painter would finish in the bottom half of the conference every four or five years.
Penn State winning is no surprise. They win a 1-2 games at home every big ten season but will that translate to wins on the road. They are a senior laden team that is capable of beating top tier big ten teams at home. Purdue is overrated because they rely to much on Smith and Loyer. Purdue needs other consistent scoring options. They are still a NCAA TOURNAMENT team but not a Top 15 team.
I just saw the score and PU just showed them as team that misses Edey. A total adjustment to a different style game. Kaufman Renn was having a good pre season, but PSU must have put the def on him. Glad PU lost.
Wow! He looked pretty effing impressive to me.
Will be interesting to see if the Illini can withstand PSU’s brand of on ball pressure.

Yup, I genuinely thought my opinion of Knight couldn't get any worse, but here we are—a tremendous piece of sh*t.
Purdue will probably go undefeated at home....and struggle on the road. Which Big 10 teams are built to win road games?
Seems like what Alabama did to us. Think we have grown since then.
I'd like the team to drill on what to do when teams double the ball handler out front, which may or may not include trapping. I expect the team will see it repeatedly throughout the season as teams try to slow KJ.

I don't know... I'm sort of amazed at some of the hand wringing people are doing here. My only real concern is, when we have a cold shooting night, we haven't yet shown we have a strong alternate scoring strategy.
