What kind of offense did they run tonight? No 2 point offense in this team. Just bombing 3’s is not an offense. Terrible coaching tonight.

We let them win, a little adjustment on defense and Martinelli doesn't go off. Ben is a liability on defense and it cost us big time tonight

Inexcusable. They were touting Ben as this elite shooter. Yeah he’s elite alright, at bricking every shot.
He sucks. Ride with Morez from here on out.

Unless you can get a Tucker DeVries-type of player, stay away from the MVC.

What would Riley do vs those big guys? He was 0 for 6 from three and would of been killed on D. That game was allowed to be tough n physical. Riley would be abused how tonight was called.
Ivisic needed more looks down low
Huh? Riley saw the floor and was good on both ends of it. The officiating was obviously and WILDLY inconsistent, so you blame his benching on that? Northwestern literally had to change their lineup with him on the floor. Dunno what you or Brad were seeing.

Being completely serious … One of my biggest issues with Brad throughout his entire tenure is our looks out of timeouts … What’s our % on scoring out of those ??? I’d love to know it …

Been absolute 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 since Gentry left on X&O …
Atrocious out of timeouts. More times than not is some off balance, or highly contested 3. Tonight...no different

I seriously think brad was stress testing things tonight, viewed this game as a road loss and therefore not critical to tourney seeding? It's a stretch i know, but there must be some method to the madness here... Morez starting next game? Wtf though.
I get what you’re saying to an extent… Don’t think he viewed it as a loss but big picture knows we need Ben to come through so he kept him out there

If we don't figure out some sort of inside scoring balance when our 3s aren't hitting, we will be average.

Oh wait, I kinda remember a stretch when Rez dominated the post tonight and we stretched it to a 10 point lead.

Then came the 1 on 1 3s and got manhandled on the defensive end getting backed down by smashed nose.

We played out of our minds against Arkansas and doubt we'll play like that very often.

Tomi has to shoot 3s, rez needs to get some post touches, and make layup, KB
Agree. My concern with this heavy 3pt shooting team. We hit them against Arkansas and looked awesome. Missed a lot tonight and looked like 💩.

Good news is this will be a Quad 1 loss. For the "must win" crowd, the 2022 team lost a game in January at Maryland to a team that was much worse than this Northwestern team and still won the B1G championship. This game is insignificant.

But make no mistake, this was an easily avoidable loss that we gave away.

I highly doubt NW finishes in the top 75. They are a bottom 1/4 Big 10 team so this could easily be Quad 2 loss

I know Coach knows infinitely more about this team from what he sees in practice, but I’d like to see Tre at the 4 in place of Ben more (both Riley and Tre on the court). Ben’s defense is just so bad (seems to be a tenacity thing, which makes it all the more frustrating). When he’s not making shots, it’s hard to see where his value add is.

I think he's still trying to figure out this team

We see this kinda thing with Brad every year…last year it was Goode getting abused on repeat, this time it’s Ben. Teams will hunt that matchup all year long.

I really thought Ben would bring more versatility to this offense and be more than just a spot-up shooter.

This 100x

Underwood gets very stubborn about “his guys” whatever that means.

Clearly Ben is one of his guys and Morez is not when everyone watching the game can clearly tell you who the better player is.

Why does he do this? It’s not rocket science?
