It was disgusting to see the second half trend the way it did. It was obvious we were going to lose. We couldn’t stop anything and outside of KJ’s heroics, we were broke.

Being completely serious … One of my biggest issues with Brad throughout his entire tenure is our looks out of timeouts … What’s our % on scoring out of those ??? I’d love to know it …

Been absolute 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 since Gentry left on X&O …
What Brad needs to do is find an incredible Xs and Os HS coach who has never played college ball. Then you hook him up with a scholarship offer and NIL and have him hang out on the bench as an unused sub, help out with this stuff. And not take up an assistant coach spot. Boom, loophole.

Inexcusable. They were touting Ben as this elite shooter. Yeah he’s elite alright, at bricking every shot.
Not agreeing with this. Good shooters have nights when it just isn't working. If there are other aspects to their game, they can still be contributors out there for us. Ben is a great shooter when he's on. He can be key at spacing the floor in situations where he doesn't have to guard the other team's best offensive player. He can also dribble drive around people who close him too hard when he's shooting well. But there just aren't other aspects to Ben's game other than these.

I get the frustration, but this post reads like Ben should be cut from the team or sent to the end of the bench never to return. I think there are games when Ben can really help us. It should have been obvious to a good in-game coach that this wasn't that sort of a game. Brad's decision to play Ben 39 minutes in this game absolutely destroyed our chances at winning.

Your frustration should be directed toward Brad. He should feel the pressure from the fans and the media after this game because his decisions cost us the game. To be clear, I'm not saying Brad's seat should even be warm. I'm saying he should have to answer questions about his decisions during this game.

So far I think the whole is less than the sum of the parts for this team. They have so much young talent and good individual performances, but something is lacking. It's great to have KJ hitting huge shots, but the team is lacking a real experienced go to guy. KJ ended up trying to do a bit too much, taking some incredibly tough shots at the end that he probably shouldn't have.

Coach is too stubborn to make that change but yeah - that’s the obvious best lineup.

Yall are seriously over reacting bigly….

Weird game, things like this happen every night in college hoops, don’t see it being a trend. Let’s beat Wisconsin & give Tennessee all we got.

We good yall

Ben is going to be a liability on D most of the time, but I think he just had an off shooting night. This is on Brad for not benching him when it was clear he didn’t have his shot. Rez, Riley, and White can absorb those minutes

We would be ranked 12-14th with a win, but we’ll still be top 25 with the loss. At this point in the season, it’s totally insignificant. Winning one of the next two is really what mattered even before tonight. Just hope this gives the team a reality check since I’m salty AF even if it’s not a bad loss.

Look... Brad is on the radio touting the 10-point lead and blaming the loss on missed layups and rebounding.

It's going to be hard to defend his decisions if he was actually trying to win this thing. And... surely he was.

Underwood is incapable of winning in high school gyms. This felt like Penn state last year. A complete collapse down the stretch - inexcusable

Yes, ironic how they quoted BU saying he didn't care about KJ's turnovers, and the turnovers ended up being a deciding factor. KJ made some monster shots in the 2nd half, but his turnovers were almost all unforced and let them stay close throughout the game.

Not going to panic, but a loss to a team struggling over multiple games after us beating Arkansas is really disappointing. You can spin it how you want but this was not a "growth opportunity". We just !!!! the bed after a week to prep for a bad team.

He's a spot-minute zone-buster. That's it. Absolutely not a Big Ten-level player, and he proved it tonight.

We never, I mean never, come out of a time out and run a play that works.

I know it's near blasphemy to say here, but this loss is all on Underwood no matter how you slice it.
If he doesn't get his head on straight, the next 2 games could get ugly.
The Illini should have won this game easily even if it was on the road.
