Who will start as our two wideouts on offense? I would assume it will be Elzy and Dixon with Beatty in the slot. I am not sure if this has been brought up. Will there be any surprise opt out for the game? Go Illini.
Actually, he has not opted out at this moment. He has said he has not made a final decision on playing in the bowl game or not. As of right now, South Carolina has no opt outs other than the ones transferring. But they are not key contributors anyway. He could end up opting out in the end, but as of now, he has told reporters he has not opted out yet.

Oh, completely. And I actually like many of them. I made a comment in the Alabama game thread about how I liked Nate Oats' "Wimp Sanderson-inspired" sportcoat.

Outside of those transferring, South Carolina has no opt-outs right now. Even those like Kyle Kennard who have declared for NFL draft have not opted out of the bowl game as of now. Kyle has even told reporters he has not 100% made up his mind about playing in the bowl game yet and has not ruled it out.
People are assuming that just because they are declaring for NFL, they are not playing in the bowl game and that is just not accurate at this moment.
Not complaining but it would be helpful if the schools would publish a disclaimer indicating that some key/recognizable players may not participate. Hearing way more names of starters who are opting out which is going to make this a glorified spring game. Dropping Beaucoup bucks to watch this potential diarrhea of a matchup is not fun.
Also, if this Alumni Association pre game is anything like what happened at Rose Bowl, drink and eat ahead of time. That was a fiasco in Pasadena but at least they refunded money.
Have attended every bowl game since 1985 Peach and nothing will ever top the 07 Rose Bowl. Can’t tell all the stories but partying with a known message board empresario all over LA prior to the game was something out of an OnlyFans video. Anyway. Go Illini.

Obviously, from a selfishness standpoint I'm happy Kennard isn't playing. One less stud on the SC defense is only a good thing for the Illini.
Speaking purely as a football fan, I would have liked a chance to watch him play again. He's REALLY good and has a great chance to be a difference-maker on Sundays for some time.
From the SC side, Bowl practice started yesterday and word is with the exception of those transferring, everyone was at the practice including Kennard. Still no opt-outs for the bowl game.
Is anybody else charged for their tickets, but the ticket office website isn't letting you log in to see your account?
