To be fair, the IU o-line has not held up in protection very well.RPO is great and all but at some point your QB has to just let a rip and be able to break down a defense. Notre Dame played IU like a book, giving them the easy short yardage and Rourke has been a non-factor.
Yeah, but if they were 7-5 and this was a regular season game this still would have been a terrible performance. Before this final garbage time drive, they attempted like 5 throws past the sticks all night. Just played absolutely scared from the jump.IU was never as good as their record. Just beneficiaries of a joke schedule.

Because McDonough works for ESPN. ESPN holds the ACC media contract. McDonough was carrying the ACC's water and was really sour grapes on the B1G.I agree the announcers are asshats. McDonough doesn’t like the Big Ten.
If ESPN had the B1G media contract, McDonough would have been falling all over himself apologizing for IU.Man, these announcers are talking mad Smack. They are so angry at the BIG ten. They really have spent the last 10 minutes bulling the BIG football conference. I can't stand ESPN
In fairness, I personally, do not think that ND is 'all that'...... I mentioned earlier during their game that ND and IU were both mediocre 11-1 teams. I think that they both showed that this evening. We'll see how ND looks next week. But also in fairness, if it were the Beloved that played the exact schedule that Indinia played with the same results headed into the CFP, our response would be virtually identical to that of Indinia - “We can only play the schedule in front of us and we did that and won all but one.”
Yeah, it was a weak sister schedule, but they played it, and won their games, with all of most of the football world understanding that they would be shellacked by any good team they played in the CFP. NDis not exactly lighting them up at 27-3, but I think Georgia is going to introduce them to big boy football.
I'd rather they won. This could be Illinois in the near future and they might pass on us over this.I know that a lot of people were rooting for IU for the B1G connection as well as domer hate. But I'm really happy that they got exposed. Takes some of the wind out of their sales. We just don't need another up and comer competing against us for recruits. Especially those Purdue transfers.
Nah, top 4 teams from the B1G will likely get in every year assuming you have just 1-2 losses and a nice win or two.I'd rather they won. This could be Illinois in the near future and they might pass on us over this.
Wasn't that right after the blatant OOB hit? I yelled out "That was dirty!" as soon as it happened. Many angry looks came my way
2024 Indinia will have near 0 effect on 2025 or later Illinois...... Every season has so many variables that a comparison of this sort is unremarkable. It's not only dependent upon the 2 of you, but the entirety of the rest of the top P4 conference teams.....I'd rather they won. This could be Illinois in the near future and they might pass on us over this.
I think it's highly unlikely we see a big ten team with such a soft conference schedule in the future. And if it is us I don't have a problem with the pass. They should be trying to get the 12 best.I'd rather they won. This could be Illinois in the near future and they might pass on us over this.
