Nado to Hou may be dead, maybe not. They have an unsettled OF situation and could play Paredes at one of the corner OF spots if they want to. Only they know what their plan is so all we fans can do is wait and see.

Naw, it's dead.

And Paredes hasn't played a single inning of OF in his five years in the majors, or even the five years he spent in the minors before that, so that would be a strange move.

Paredes is not fast or even average.

No Goldie reunion (which we knew). Watch, he is gonna look like his old self with Yankees.

no hate here. his arrogance was absolutely justified. greatest base stealer and lead off hitter of all time.
may he rest in peace.

Something to keep an eye on. I think both franchises along with Nado would be willing to get this done. I don’t see the BoSox having the stomach to go after and pay Bregman. Could be a nice haul of value prospects in return to STL from a talent rich Sox system. Them unloading Casas is interesting, but could be a big piece in getting this done.I think he is a young good ball player.

Press release: Cardinals reach 2025 contract agreements with Helsley, Romero and King

Great news! The Cardinals signed left handed Bailey Horn for their bullpen. Be still my heart!

helsley signing might be a precursor to a trade deadline move. he'd be extremely valuable to a contender
and were not that.

Just heard Mr Baseball Bob Uecker has died at 90.
First encountered his ball game calls while on family fishing trips to Wisconsin in the 70s. No TV, we'd listen to Brewers games in the evening. Guys like him made baseball what it is for my generation. Uecker, Mel Allen, Ernie Harwell, Vin Scully, Caray, Vince & Lou, etc. Not many left (Pat Hughes, any others?). I know I'm old, but the current crop of broadcasters all sound the same to me.

RIP.

I did the same listening to Jack Buck. West coast trips I had the transistor radio under the pillow with that single earpiece.
