Pretty special Mother in Law!My mother in law just surprised me with tickets and I’ve never gone before. What sections are Illinois sections?
Couldn't agree more. It was great when they had it in the evening on December 22nd or 23rd in a run up to Christmas. Maybe the scheduling was unavoidable, but having the game scheduled to compete with the NFL games is a mistake in my opinion. It will be better for those attending in person but as far as the television audience it's a mistake. I'll be watching football, taping the Illini and sit back and enjoy the game later that evening with a few cocktails.i still can't believe this game is on at noon. so incredibly stupid.
One thing Mike Latulip mentioned that I had not considered in terms of this being a potentially important win is that the SEC is such a gauntlet that Mizzou could completely crater due to the tough competition.
So right now it wouldn't look like a bad loss in the NET as Mizzou is ranked 38th, but this is a school that went 0-18 in the SEC last year. Mizzou seems to be much better this year, but the SEC also looks much better across the board.
I bet Illinois will lay 5 or 6Anyone seen a line on the game
We need this one to be at .500 in both our conferences. Are we an honorary SEC school this year? We've played more SEC schools so far than any other SEC school...
Branson is a drive. We continued to the Buffalo and Mulberry rivers for several days of canoeing, ate at Lamberts on the way home. Life was good.My wife's birthday is 12/22 and for 20 years we've been watching the Bragging Rights game on the way to her parents house in Branson, MO. Happy to say her folks are now in CU and converted Illini. Also, I don't have to go to Branson anymore. Life is good! Go Illini!
Odd take to me, as I'll be doing the opposite. NFL can be watched later without no real emotional energy gain or loss. I'd be gnawing my finger nails knowing I could be watching ILL bball and not doing so. The risk of accidently seeing the score is to great too.Couldn't agree more. What? You might miss out on the Bears being a complete dumpster fire.Odd take to me, as I'll be doing the opposite. NFL can be watched later without no real emotional energy gain or loss. I agree. I've watched every Bragging Rights game, and to me they should be a night game.I'll be skipping my usual Sunday lunch with our friends to watch this game. We sure as hell better win!
