1. He shot great against non-power 5 defenses early this season. It shouldn't be surprising that he can drain 'em easy with nobody guarding him.

2. His shooting isn't the real problem. It's the fact that he can't guard at all and gets rebounds consistently ripped out of his hands.

Missouri has athleticism at forward that will overwhelm Ben if our coaching staff is foolish enough to continue to commit to him as our primary 4.

Please tell me we aren't basing minutes off shooting in warm-ups. I could go out there and hit a bunch in a row too just shooting around, and I'm 40. Doesn't mean I should start vs. Miznoz.

I want to win this game something fierce. Get Morez in there to start with Will off the bench at the 4.

We do hear all the hype about him hitting all this shots during shooting around which hasn’t translated into game time in a while.

I do have to ask....

1)When Morez picks up two fouls in 7 minutes because it's what freshmen do, what's the response going to be? What if he's 3-10 from the foul line? He was bad at home, what will it be in this atmosphere?

2)Riley has been just about as bad as Ben. He also feasted on sub par competition. Ben shot the ball very well versus Bama and Arkansas. Riley stalls ths offense by picking up his dribble in the middle of the lane, 35 feet from the basket or goes baseline and throws up a circus shot which doesn't hit rim or he'll miss a bunny. He has his warts.

This assumption that the situation at that position gets cleaned up by shifting minutes is overstated and silly. Is it worth a try? It absolutely is. Can BU abandon what he sees every day? Absolutely not.

I understand that we don't like the outcome. The way that NW and TN wrapped up absolutely stunk. There's not one guy on the roster that hasn't been subject to debilitating and/or lazy plays.

The random, never have worn a uniform, couch potato "fans" of our program have been absolutely atrocious towards this kid after 10 games, not all of which were bad.

P.s....this is not directed at you. Just piggybacked your post.

I agree with this 100%. I will say that Ben has to rebound better, otherwise he needs to lose minutes, but I think his shooting will come around. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Hoping Will gets it together from a shooting perspective soon as well. One for his last 16, I believe. Both have been brutal from 3.

Yeah, but we like Will and not Ben - just see the game threads.

1/17 to be exact. They're much better shooters than this. If you think about it, if Riley goes even 1/4 & 1/6 instead of 0/4 & 0/6 from three in those games against Northwestern and Tennessee, those are probably wins. A lot of doom and gloom sometimes on this board, but this team has enormous potential if the shooting comes around.
