Oh yeah, this rivalry is back baby!!!!
Maybe in future years the powers that be will get this game in a better TV spot. This game should always be a late afternoon or later Saturday slot or a Thursday night type of game leading into a holiday weekend. Friday is fine for in-person attendance, but not great for TV. Noon on Sunday sucks - not a lot of time to "prepare" for the game, and you can't really get hammered on Saturday night since you'd be hungover for the tip the next afternoon (um, not like I'd know that from personal experience or, um, something . . .).

Good. We don’t need to sully our hands with filth

Boswell is quickly emerging as the on floor leader of this team, using his voice and hard nosed play to inspire his teammates when a spark is badly needed. So glad to see that from him. KJ is starting to get more vocal too, in addition to his elite level shot making especially when the pressure is on. Now, if the coaches can just address these late game lapses that are making things way too close down the stretch. as comfortable leads slip away.

I wonder what the Blues' schedule is and if that had an impact on the time. If they're playing tomorrow, they might have needed to have the game early so the crew could turn it over in enough time.

As a fan of basketball the officiating is an absolute travesty every year, on both sides of the ball. The officiating is bipolar. One second mugging a guy is ok, the next play you barely touch a player and they call it. It’s been like this forever and I have no idea why.

I think it's because we slightly underperformed the metric predictions, and there's not much separating the teams ranked around us.

Edit: just checked, and yeah, #20-#23 are separated by 0.04 efficiency rating
Right. It's just frustrating. We have the potential to be very much more efficient than this if we can just get our ducks in a row, but it probably is an accurate reflection of how we are playing right now.

I hear you, but I want them to beat Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn, to be honest. These potential wins boost the Illini, correct?
