This game should always be a late afternoon or later Saturday slot or a Thursday night type of game leading into a holiday weekend. Friday is fine for in-person attendance, but not great for TV. Noon on Sunday sucks - not a lot of time to "prepare" for the game, and you can't really get hammered on Saturday night since you'd be hungover for the tip the next afternoon (um, not like I'd know that from personal experience or, um, something . . .).

I can speak from personal experience and you are correct my friend. Time slot sucked, as did the refs, broadcast crew, and the never ending shots of Gates. But we won! So Merry Christmas to all the faithful here on Loyalty!

Honestly they called too few to start the game and it got too chippy. They tamped it down with ~12 left in second half and then it became a true foul fest. They let it get out of hand. A lot of those late game fouls were phantom, but there were plenty to start the game that should’ve been called.

Yes, it should have. Plus, I think we were in the bonus. Should have been 4 and a one and one.
They saw fouls that didn't exist and yet miss a giant
throwing another giant to the floor. That crew SUCKS.

My son, a Mizzou alum, but a very reasonable and knowledgeable sports fan, said "if anything, the foul was on Mizzou".

2) Robinson with the elbow to KB's neck. It was obvious that he raised his elbow much higher than necessary in the position he was in. Horrible officiating.

3) Bates kicking KJ when he was down. Did it look unintentional? Probably. Was it intentional? Also probably, because he needed to walk away from the player on the ground. At least it was reviewed.

Don't recall ever seeing a game in the review era where 2 very obvious flagrants just were ignored.

Didn’t KJ get steamrolled on his 3 point shot attempt to end the 1st half too? Not a flagrant, but looked like 3 free throws were due.
Edit: Blife beat me to this comment, as did probably 3+ pages in the game thread. Don’t go in there, kids. It’s a cesspool.

Way too many TO's. That will cost us repeatedly until we clean it up.

Refs called a game that favored Miznoz. Drive it into the lane and get a bucket or a foul almost every time.

Is there anyone on the staff that can coach a zone offense?

Rez over BH in my book. Rez not a finished product by any means but impacts the game far more than Ben.

It was ugly but I remind myself there are no ugly wins.

Great FT shooting made up for the TO's.

Who would have guessed gates getting a T instead of brad....

Questions for those in attendance...

Was it a loud atmosphere? Hard to tell watching and the snail's pace because of the fouls.

What happened to get the mizzery fan ejected

Loved seeing Boz grab KJ and tell him to keep his chin up after he made another dumb TO. KJ came back down and made several great plays right after.

I would kill for Ty on this roster but I do understand his decision because I doubt Brad would be giving him minutes.

Would love to have him basically playing the 4 and keeping either him or Morez on the floor most of the game.

What’s crazy is that Boz is literally our next best guy to body people up after Rez. That possession where he was an absolute brick wall against Mark Mitchell and stole the ball (then got called for a phantom foul), despite giving up 6 inches and 30 lbs to Mitchell, was really impressive. That dude is STRONG.
