Early in the game Stulhke tried to drive into KB and she bounced back like she had hit a concrete wall....she had a stunned look on her face.....lol..

KB is a double double machine...

Fatigue will be a big factor but mentally you can fight through it.
My slogan for majority of squad that contributes is 5-star heart with 3-star talent.

Fatigue will factor in as the season progresses. Good thing there is always 3-4 days between games. Take care of business against the middle of the pack and lower teams and pull off random upset here and there. Enjoy the week off and refresh before the main schedule hits.....

Both Erica Finney and Cearah Parchment are enrolled for the spring semester but the intent is to redshirt them for the spring so that they have four years to play after that. Wonder if they might rethink that now?

On one hand, this makes sense from a numbers standpoint--our bench is 5 deep right now (Wallace, Allen, Zenere, Catoira, Smith). On the other, we're not even giving many--if any--minutes to the healthy bench players. I suppose if Finney or Parchment wow on the practice court and prove themselves more capable than say Allen or Smith, it's possible they'd burn the redshirt. Otherwise, can just be grateful they will increase numbers at practices while preparing themselves for the future.

I noticed on the broadcast that Finney seems to have already integrated well into the fabric of the team, smiling, cheering, and joking with her teammates. Finney played one game for a semi-pro team in Sydney, Australia. She's gotten a taste of basketball with grown women.

The remainder of our schedule looked at in whole isn't exceedingly difficult. There are a clear bottom four teams in the conference right now in Purdue, Penn State, Rutgers, and Northwestern, and we have 5 upcoming games against them--in a stretch from 1/23 to 2/13. If you could offer me wins in all 5 of those games, plus sprinkle in 2 more wins, perhaps against fellow middle of the pack teams like Wisconsin (on the road 2/9), Michigan State, Nebraska, and Michigan (at home 1/19, 2/16, 3/2), I would take it in a heartbeat to secure a 9-9 conference record and 19-10 overall.

Of course, sports are unpredictable and any conference team can beat us... nothing is going to come easy... but there is a reasonable outlook on achieving a .500 conference record and a tourney berth.

FWIW, Bracketology today gave us a 10 seed.
