Ok, 50 y/o here. My now 82 y/o dad stoked my love of the Illini (Bruce Douglas, Derek Harper, Eddie Johnson, et al did their part as well!). I have so much respect and appreciation for what my elders bring to this forum...thanks for sharing your insight/history/wisdom.

Always nervous before the games.. you would think I was playing but I'll be in Evansville Indiana at Buffalo wild wings cheering like I own the team.. I've been a huge fan since the mid 80s and will be a fan until I die. I usually have a favorite player but I don't this year.. my family is Lithuanian so that would be my go-to guy but everybody plays so well that I love them all..

Normally, 11 a.m. games make me nervous because I'm scared we'll come out flat, but seeing as it's a 9 a.m. game for USC, this feels like an advantage.

Normally, 11 a.m. games make me nervous because I'm scared we'll come out flat, but seeing as it's a 9 a.m. game for USC, this feels like an advantage.

I assume they stayed in the area since playing at Indiana on Wednesday night so their bodies are going to be more adjusted to the time difference than when they first arrived.

But staying in a hotel for that long with everything going on back in the LA area has probably been a rough experience. Tough to stay locked in.
