I had a dream the other night that Illinois won this game 86-39. I was sitting next to Bill Murray in SFC in the dream. Take this as you will.

The upcoming eight games are HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, and HUGE. Big opportunity to stack a ton of wins. No doubt this stretch will be considered the "easy" part of the schedule entering the Maryland game. Going 8-0, 7-1, or even maybe 6-2 during this stretch will be a good result. Let's start it off will payback by beating the turtles and avenge our home lost to them last season.
I expect better.

Enuf with the Bill Murray clown show. Let's beat 'em, hoping Kasparas avoids foul trouble and plays many minutes. Maryland is too good forr us to play without him. BU said he might be the best player in the country. Of course, coaches of other good teams might say the same about one of their guys. Duke is one that comes to mind.

🤮 to the bolded. I'll watch the game muted . . .
I never could get the attraction of Raftery's gibberish......He surely has knowledge based on longevity alone . but his style is a major turnoff for me........give me Brian B. and Deon T. and I'm a happy camper....of course with a big victory for the Illini.............I really really am..................

color me O & B.................

Underwood was pretty diplomatic in his presser, but you can tell he’s really ticked about the fouls that were called on KJ. Sounds like the response from the league was a shrug and a “you got jobbed. Sorry.”

We will need to go nuclear and go on a run like 2021 to win the BIG, but if the team is half as p*ssed as Underwood seems to be I think we can do it. Let’s start tonight.

Will be a tough game tonight imo. Maryland is pretty good, and they have been a thorn in our side for a while now…

If we want to contend for a B1G title our next 8 games will determine it.

Maryland
Northwestern
@Nebraska
Ohio State
@Rutgers
@Minnesota

Next 6 are all must-win if we want to be contenders, no if ands or buts about it.

UCLA
MSU
@Wisconsin

Need to go at LEAST 2-1 here

Iowa
@Michigan
Purdue

2-1 at a minimum here as well, and that may not do it. Would likely punch us a double-bye in the B1G tourney however.

In all likelihood we have to go 11-1 in our final 12 to win the league. In order from most likely to least likely wins id go..
1. Iowa
2. Northwestern
3. @Minnesota
4. Ohio State
5. Maryland
6. @Rutgers
7. @Nebraska
8. UCLA
9. MSU
10. Purdue
11. @Wisconsin
12. @Michigan

Maryland hasn't won a game on the road this season. Let's not give them their first.

Maryland 0-4 on the road in the B1G including a loss to Washington. Weird thing is they've stayed close in all of those games (losses by 5, 6, 4, and 2), so I can see why people are betting Maryland and line is moving down.

Until now

Points that is,I feel a blowout coming
We have been oscillating between great wins and bad games (loss or narrow win) since the Oregon game. So obviously this will be a 20+ points blow-out win based on the schedule. :cool:
