Sean Miller, Will Wade and Penny Hardaway ... For Miami ... If Penny leaves, then it'll be Sean or Wade in Memphis ...

I thought Gentry went to Gonzaga for life. It would be great to get him back.

If Few hangs it up ... He will be open to coming back ... That's what I got told ...

As of today, I think it's very likely Mike Boynton winds up on staff here next year ...

If we had some transition ... Which in full transparency likely means Geoff gets the EIU job because Marty decides to call it quits or gets let go ... That is where I could see Gentry coming into the picture ...

I think of Iowa needing to maximize their regional recruiting. Illinois iowa and Missouri. Northwestern and Iowa state are as strong as they have ever been. Missouri i think is on the upswing. We're sitting great.

With all that I think it's a tougher job than I've ever seen. Let's hope they fail miserably.

Any fear of OA on the move again?

Does Hamer stay? I’m assuming little Underwood is not going anywhere.

I’m surprised Cal is not retiring. Or take a less stressful job at somewhere like Stony Brook.

I know the job in Charleston is always going to be tough but they have really regressed this season. I'd expect he either resigns or gets told he's going to be canned if he doesn't.

DeVries would not take Iowa ... Steve Forbes would crawl through glass for that job though ...

Cal might get the one and done experience himself at Arkansas ...

Coaches on the HOT Seat: Mike Woodson, Mike Young, Red Autry, Ben Johnson, Hubert Davis, Matt McMahon, Porter Moser, Rodney Terry

Retirement Watch: Leonard Hamilton, Tom Izzo, Rick Barnes, Fran McCaffery, Thad Matta, and Mark Few
Is Memphis a better job than Xavier? I'd think the Big East makes X better but it's probably an NIL situation?

It’s a better job than Xavier … Sean with Memphis NIL … In that conference …

He’d win … A LOT …

But he wants the Miami job more than that … Penny apparently wants Miami too …
Yeah, I think a number of Big East fans have high expectations. Xavier is kind of in a weird spot. And yes, Miller would clean house in Memphis.

If I were Miami's AD, I know who I would pick if it was between those two, and I would clearly decline the "penny" for my thoughts to make that decision. :) (Translation - Sean Miller is my choice every day of the week and twice on Sunday between those two)

It's so unfortunate that EIU basketball hasn't been relevant in nearly a quarter century. For a minute I thought that the Jay Spoonhour hire might turn things around. But he was a mess. Charlie Spoonhour was a really good coach, but nepotism in the big boy coaching ranks rarely pans out.

Sean has 4 elite eights 3 sweet 16s (made NCAA 13 of 20 seasons as HC)
Penny has never made it to 2nd weekend (made NCAA 2 of 6 seasons as HC)
No comparison
However Sean has been mediocre at Xaver #2 made NCAA 1st year, NIT 2nd year

Yeah, I was there during the Mike Miller era and good lord were some of those teams bad.

I've also heard grumblings that there's been a bit of a culture issue since Marty has been in Charleston.

Kyle Keller, who replaced BU at Stephen F. Austin after he went to Oklahoma State, has been fired by the school. The Lumberjacks were 8-11 overall and 1-7 in the Southland Conference this season. He led the team to the NCAA tournament in 2018, but the appearance was later vacated due to sanctions. The school's 3 year move to the WAC started out well enough with them sharing the regular season conference title in 2021 but things fell apart in the years since.

Associate head coach Tony Jasick, who has been at the school since 2021 following head coaching stints at IPFW and Jacksonville, has been named the interim head coach.

What Big Ten Jobs could we see open this year?

Indiana is the big one

Iowa? Alot of fans are done with Fran but I think I saw his buyout is over 4 million?

Nebraska--Hoiberg about to have another down year

Does Minnesota give Ben Johnson another year?
