I think Brad is stubborn and refuses to shake up the staff …

No secret I’ve been calling for changes for a couple years …

Hamer stinks … Tyler should’ve got his coaching start elsewhere … You don’t get to start your coaching career at Illinois … Not how it works … Gotta prove it …

Brad sticking with Tyler and giving him and Hamer responsibility has been part of the reason we’ve lost good assistants to other jobs …
So how do we get rid of Tyler? What job exists that could entice him to leave?

This makes me sad because it's means the evaluation was bad. I think it was bad on Boswell too.

The reality is that you simply can't replace 99% of your roster and expect any continuity, any depth or any real experience. We have literally one legitimate big outside of Tomi and that's Morez. Ben is the next best thing, which I'm sure he's getting the minutes he's getting. Having him in on the last play was probably to help spread the floor or potentially get a rebound/putback? No clue.
I think Boswell is good, he just isn't the three point sniper he seems to think he is. He can get hot and hit a few but we can't have him continually putting up 5 or more threes when he is not hitting. Just kills the offense and any momentum we are trying to build. He has many other ways he can contribute and needs to concentrate on them. I think with KJ being good at step back threes he feels the need to put up more himself.

Yep, as do you. Save your sarcasm. This team has serious issues and is in a downward trajectory without Tomi and a lot of freshmen playing big minutes in high stress situations. Help me see us not unraveling.

Too many messages to read through so apologies if this was already said. KJ’s live ball turnovers are brutal. Half the time it is not him trying to make a spectacular play, he will literally just lose the ball or have it poked out. The narrative is you have to “live” with some of his turnovers since he is trying to force action but seems like more times that not, it is just lackadaisical basketball.

Because he is a very poor bench coach and does not have any assistants that can do it as well!

I can’t believe a guy who started every game on an elite eight team wasn’t good enough to play on this team 😂

Meanwhile, Izzo is giving a middle finger to all the teams that keep turning their roster over due to NIL as he sits at the top the B1G.

True, but we're pi$$ing down our leg at what was perceived to be the "easy" part of our schedule. Do you feel comfortable with ANY games left on our schedule after what we've seen the last couple of weeks? If we get TI back, it would restore some order, but right now.....this is a free fall.

The offense has been a lot of “hogging” in previous years too.

It just feels different if it’s TSJ or Ayo or early season KJ doing it.

And it looks different if there is a second option when the go to guy isn’t on. Like Kofi or Marcus

In every year, pretty much, yes, we've had a seriously good alpha. Being a 2nd-rate alpha doesn't make one a good second option. I don't know what you are arguing.

On top of everything else I said, you can tell even by Mayer's rebounding numbers that the effort just wasn't there.

He wasn't starting at the end of the year at U of A last year, Rumors in the AZ Republic paper were that he and the coach weren't getting along. He can be a good player at times, but my opinion is he doesn't give 100% much of the time. Watched most of the U of A games last year, because I live in AZ, and he wasn't close to being the best player on the team (in the last third of the year)

It’s actually embarrassing people are in here insinuating we need to fire BU or force him to let go TU and/or Stamer because this team is underperforming.

Have we seriously lost perspective? I know it’s a message board and this is what happens in message boards, but some in here need to seriously relax.

Ah, the good old, "I'm-a-professional-chef-so-don't-tell-me-when-the-food-tastes-awful argument". I may not be the gourmet chef when I go to a fancy restaurant, but when the lasagna is inedible, I think I'm justified to say so. Right now, this team is awful...even if I've never coached a team. (BTW, I'm far from an Insider here.)
