Agreed, and for two other reasons:

1. While so much of this team is new, hopefully DGL and Ty can pump these guys up with some anecdotes from last year. We were expecting an absolute war and somewhat likely early season loss, and we went into a hostile environment and embarrassed them.

2. Even though we lost, this team showed incredible poise at MSU in a Breslin Center environment that had some mid-2000s nostalgia to it. If we weren't rattled by that, we won't be rattled by the RAC.
We were there last year and did ILL-INI so loud you could hear it on TV and the commentators commented about it.

The rest of the roster is small and doesn't really have anyone that should be able to beat you so you're absolutely right.

Double Bailey on everything and run Acuff off the 3pt line and I don't see how they score enough to beat you.

Though I guess there is the Jeremiah Williams revenge game narrative.
Leaving Williams open would be quite a gamble

Having Morez eat those offensive rebounds is so important to our offense.

In our 7 losses, we have allowed our opponents to shoot an average of 44.0% from the field, ranging from a low of 32.3% for Tennessee (we shot even worse, of course) to an embarrassing high of 52.3% for USC.

Since Big Ten play really got underway in early January, Rutgers is shooting 41.0% from the field, and that's with a game at Northwestern shooting 57.1% really propping that up. In 4 of those 9 games, they have shot under 35.0% from the field.

Don't let a bad shooting team shoot well vs. us because we are lazy. Period. Do that, be tough and we will win!!

any word on Harper playing? I saw some report questioning his season?

Maybe he'll be back for the B1G tournament, but Rutgers might not.
Even if Rutgers does sneak into the BTT, would anyone looking out for Harper's future want him playing every day for up to five straight days (in theory, I know)? I just don't think it's worth the risk to the kid's draft stock and future.

They were on a three hour flight and are all well over six feet tall, one seven feet tall. I'm guessing "we" time was over about an hour into the trip. Yes, you're looking too far into it. Way too far.

This game is so important it's almost a "must win" game.

I also want to see more of Tomi and Morez on the floor at the same time. They could ne unstoppable once BU figures out how to use them and they get comfortable playing together
I agree with you on this and the more they're out there together, the better and better it will get. Only fear I have with that is when one or both of them are in foul trouble, we see how troublesome it is considering we have zero depth behind the two of them to play big. Guess that's the risk we take!

This won't be the first match up between MJ and LS. Thought that Sommerville got the better of him last.year in highschool. Will be watching it closely.
