Thomas is very athletic and physical. Has the quickness to change direction and make plays in space. Staff is rolling and there’s more to come….

I think this will be the unironic position within 2 years if we continue on this trajectory. Bielema’s got it figured out. Brad lost me this year. I loved the guys like TJ, Williams, Trent, Ayo, etc. that you could feel emotionally invested in. I’ve got that feeling for DGL and somewhat with Morez but that’s it. This team feels like Matthew Mayer all over again. Meanwhile, football’s got juice. Football is gaining momentum. It’s retaining the people we love. It’s building continuity. And dammit I just felt more pride from a Citrus Bowl victory than I did from an Elite 8 appearance.
I think Illinois’s just a case of a football school that’s never had a football program to care about. Bielema’s changing that. I think we surpass 95% attendance next year (averaged over 90% this year I believe) and we’re sitting here a year from now saying that we’re finally in that Wisconsin/Iowa position and hoping for a CFP appearance.

I’m surprised they have 2 of our commits as not even three star- other than Shaw who can that be?
