The warning signs were there. Grabbing him so early in the portal never quite made sense.
I was okay with taking him, so long as we felt we had a good locker room. Tre was taking a flyer on a high reward only moderate risk player. Thought was if he returned to high school and USC promise, he'd be integral to our team and a huge boon. And if he showed up taking half his games off like Louisville, he'd find his way stapled to the bench. Worth the gamble in my opinion just the flop and turn haven't quite hit.

Get Square with the dude. Rez has gotta get better at that.

Is Ben playing a little pissed off…? If so I’m all for it.

I would have been a lot more for it if he were one of the last guys on the roster. The fact that he was the second transfer in made me pretty darn scared about what we were building. Unfortunately, those fears were seemingly correct. I just don't think it's a good sign when a guy transfers year after year. It's a long season. What is a player going to do when things get difficult? If that player keeps transferring, unfortunately, I think we have a pretty good idea.

Edit: This program has been built on the idea of "everyday guys." I think we run into trouble when we go for talent over work ethic.

I like the mid range Ben shot more than his 3-s. Looks more confident too.
It's been truly bizarre why he hasn't been doing this more this year. It was a big part of his game at Evansville, and for whatever reason it has been almost completely stripped from his game here. Only thing I can think is it's a coaching decision not to have him doing it because it makes no sense
