worst halftime show ever ??
Pure garbage. Can't understand the vocals and music horrible. Went to MJ show earlier today, now that is multigenerational and internationally enjoyed music.
Nothing wrong with admitting that the music just isn't for you. I'll admit to not knowing many Kendrick Lamar songs but I thought it was perfectly fine as far as Super Bowl halftime shows go.

Seriously? I mean, I don't care what genre of music you like, or whether you even care about music in general..... That was a HUGE nothingburger.... It was just..... there..... nothing new, nothing groundbreaking, nothing nostalgic, just complete mehhhhhh. Honestly I wish they would completely do away with halftime shows..... they have become purely strategic marketing campaigns, not anything even remotely entertaining. I'd rather watch a marching band competition amongst 4 schools, than this hot garbage. Just another negative for the NFL (among many) in my opinion.

What a terrible take. Age has nothing to do with it. This type of music isn't something that comes with flash, substance or showmanship. It's hot garbage, with 0 musicality.

The NFL panders to a small market - or at least turns their back on the majority of their audience demographic. I think the NFL is on the verge of trending back towards people tuning into something else during Halftime, a la early 1990's and before.

Kendrick is great, but the mixing was really bad his vocals were too low. Bumer cuz he had an entire stadium calling Drake a... you know....

Man, appreciate you on here, but we will have to agree to disagree. I love generic and to the point. Very easy quick glance read and out of the way.
Knew I could count on you guys to be discussing scorebugs and chyrons. @RyIllini is of course correct, the chyrons are like refs - they're doing a great job if you're barely devoting any brainspace to them. Hopefully this ends the era of "absolutely trying way too hard" scorebugs (see: FOX's college sports ones complete with logo AND team name AND mid-90s style cursive font for the nickname).

I think the point it this
with 1960's -1970's rock music , most songs had an identity - you could tell what song it was in the first 5 seconds even if no words were sung

in the stuff we heard last night, there is nothing about the actual music that makes it different from any other "song" produced, and I challenge anyone to scribe on paper the words he was "singing" . If you ask me, the lyrics may have been a foreign language

If only I could speak to management about that goofy cartoon player image graphic. They went to such a clean classic bug and got cute with it and added cartoons.

The score bug and fonts are amazing.
And the Chiefs better show a willingness to run.

Trust me, whatever period of music you think was the best for music ever, there were a bunch of old people around who loudly proclaimed it was the worst.
So I only knew one of his songs because DNA is on beat saber for the Oculus. I enjoyed listening to that music. My grandson was singing along with it so he knew all the words. I don't know any of the words.

DNA is one of my favorites of his. If you're interested in checking out more, "Alright" is a great starting point for him. "Swimming Pools (Drank)," "Money Trees," and "Backseat Freestyle" are all also great songs worth checking out that were not featured at last night's performance as well.

I loved the scorebug. Clean, simple, to the point. Easy to see how many timeouts each team had. I thought putting down and distance above the team with the ball did the trick.

The scorebug reminded me a lot of Apple's minimalist scorebugs for MLS broadcasts, which I also think are simple and to the point.

Here's the Fox college basketball scorebug. I like the minimal approach MUCH more for this.

Honestly, except for MAYBE the line of scrimmage (i.e. PHI 42), what else do you really need on a scorebug than what's shown here?
