I really dislike Izzo and his whiny antics. But does anyone think Izzo would let the wheels fall off like Brad did tonight? Izzo would have been halfway to the basket looking to rip his players for play like that. Brad just takes the check. He's paid way too much for this trainwreck. Move on.

There will be a couple of more real achievements by this team, this season. But there will be no championships. Regular season B1G was lost weeks and weeks ago; B1G tourney and NCAA require more than 2 consequetive wins to get anywhere meaningful. It's not impossible, but it is extremely unlikely that this year's team wins any of these.

I am hopeful for next season, but if we waste this level of talent -- two, maybe, first round picks? -- I am already uneasy about next year's "young" team. That's been the whine: "Freshmen! It's a young team ..." Yeah.

I was really hoping to use the Tears for Fears gif.

We just can’t shoot or make contested shots in the paint or stop turning the ball over during crunch time.

Outplayed. Not sure why Tre White didn’t get an opportunity.

I leave this question to the group. At what point do we admit that we overrated our talent, outside of Morez and DGL, we have no athleticism and we have no depth?

I despise the three point barrage like everyone else, but 4 of your last 29........that's 1000000% on the players.

KJ, our lottery pick, with another 5/15 performance. Ivisic was BRUTAL tonight.

I get the Ben thing, I get the Brad thing, I get not liking the assistants, but when do we look at the roster and say..... they're just not what we hoped. We tried to put an entire roster together in three months....we have a decent team, but not a particularly good one.

Early in the year, when we were torching nets and winning, it was great. This was the philosophy going in. One in, four out, shoot 35% and hit the final four.

There were a LOT of us who know what live by the three and die by the three looks like. This is it.

I look up and down that stat sheet and outside of Morez.....nobody played well.

Our guards got beat off the dribble This loss is 100% on Ben and the refs.
That's ridiculous. They all struggled from 3. Tomi was 0 for 4 and 2 of 9, 3 TOs. KJ 2 if 9 and 5vof 15, Ben 0 for 6 and 3 of 10 6 boards 1 TO. Our guards got beat off the dribble and we didn't rebound to close the first half when Tomi only had 1 board at half. Really only Rez played well and will was ok. It's not just Ben , others took and missed shots too.

We will be N.I.T. Material going forward when you see everyone transfer. Fire Underwood

Brads wants to every game to become a horserace.

Yet his guys are either hurt or benched.

Just makes no sense. I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight.

Arrrrrgghhhh!!! It’s bad enough to get swept this year by them.

It’s a whole’ nother level to be in this party game of hot potato with other teams and Izzo’s impending record. Just blows.

MSU played great and had a great gameplan. They would have beaten most everyone tonight. That said, we really need to fix some things and make some changes and we're just not doing it. Our second half performances are very telling that we just are not making the necessary adjustments. And our rotations are killing us. Lost to a better team than us and unfortunately there's becoming a lot of those lately.

Plain and simple, we missed on several transfers this year and our coaching just hasn't been able to get our team where it needs to be. At this point, goal needs to be to get some continuity going to next year, and coaching the kids emwho are going to be part of that up the best we can. We'll make the tourney this year, but us winning 2 in a row will be a challenge, let alone 6.
First part should say “They would have beaten most anyone that played defense that bad.”

I can script the postgame:

"First congrats to Tom... blah blah blah."
"That was an old Big ten butt whooping... blah blah blah."
"This one is on me.... blah blah blah."
"Tre is still sick... Tomi is playing on one foot.... Blah, blah blah."

It gets old.

I’m a decently positive fan on this site, and I very freely admit I have a buzz and I’m letting the emotions of this game get to me … but as someone who’s never even KIND OF lost faith in Brad, I no longer support him. Sorry. This was an inexcusable loss due to nothing more than hubris and stubbornness, and I have zero faith that Brad (A) understands that or (B) would have the humility to change.

Thanks for everything, and I mean that fully. Throw the warche$t at someone else if we’re going to be shackled to fixed lineups and game plans that we settled on in August due to NIL commitments.
For the first time in his tenure, I have to agree. Too many BAD losses. Too much stubbornness.

Enough is finally enough.

I know Chris Beard comes with baggage but those charges were dropped and most importantly Ole Miss gave him his second chance so with that said yes Chris Beard will do great here. I am not calling for Brad's head but it's fun to think about a post-Underwood era cause Brad is getting up there and like you said Indy, Brad has mellow out big time. Lol.
I'm not sure Josh would hire either one of those guys.

The Calipari way of building a CBB team is dead. That era is dead. The Covid years have shown us that the best teams are built with older players with a little hint of youth. I cannot believe that Brad reverted back to constructing this team the way he did with the Mayer team especially with how much Brad gushed over the maturity and experiecne of last year team. Smh.
