Curbelo dismissed from Southern Miss. Would have loved to know the behind the scene details on what went wrong with such a talented player. In the end, I guess he was just too much of a head case. Maybe we will get the documentary one day.

The Illinois Wesleyan women clobbered North Central last nite (at NC) 79-55. In doing so, they clinched the CCIW title outright. This means they will get to host the conference tournament. Team is currently ranked #4. A super season for the lady Titans! If they win the conference tournament (or maybe even if they don't), they will most likely host a first round NCAA 4 team pod.
The IWU women beat Augustana yesterday in Rock Island, to finish their regular season at 224-1 and 15-1 in conference. They will get to host the CCIW tourney on Friday and Saturday. Their semifinal game is at 7:30 Friday, but Saturday's title game is still TBD. They are ranked #4 in D3 hoops and #5 in the coaches' poll. I plan to attend Saturday's title game. The Friday game I hope to watch on live streaming.

They really stunted MS with their moving from man to 1-3-1. Yes, I do think we should be able to at least show a passable zone defense. If Dusty can put it in during his first season and switch back and forth, we can too. We are entirely too predictable and easy to scout. The whole "we only play man" is a relic, and it isn't working. If we have an amazing man defense and want to stay with that, o.k. Again, other teams show multiple looks all the time all the time. I'll take Michigan's results any day.
We are easy to scout on both offense and defense. Entirely too predictable

Man, Pitino's still got it, huh. The team is a hodgepodge of transfers too, so it's not even like he just started pulling in recruits there.

Purdue shot 3 s great, but turned over too much while IU did just the opposite.

Rutgers vs. USC tonight. The new Big 10 is not the olden days Big 10.
