The moving screen calls occurred directly after the cylinder call. Not saying it's right, but they definitely seemed to be more a byproduct of being makeup calls than an actual focus on calling moving screens. Quite frankly I'm surprised they overturned the elbow to the face as a cylinder call as the clear out movement of the elbow was not a basketball play and only by extending the elbows out did it make contact.Did I misunderstand last night? Did they actually call a couple of moving picks? I haven't seen those called all year.
The other thing, the in the cylinder call against KJ, I thought was a bad call. All year we've had people with their hands on us and riding us with no calls. And they call that?
My guess is that Anderson didn't want to assess a technical on Iowa's player, so overturned the call to an iffy cylinder one, then immediately proceeded to give us 2 very quick makeup calls to "even out" the 2 free throws and change of possession. I think both teams have full right to complain about that sequence of officiating
