Not sure whether to think this is more about interest in the Blues or lack of interest in the Cardinals. It has to be somewhat related to the dwindling interest in the Cardinals, as I just could not see a normal Cardinals team with normal ratings ever being played on the overflow channel.
If I were the Cardinals front office, I would be very concerned.
It could be more happenstance than anything. The Blues on their lengthy winning streak probably helped make the decision too. The real sign of concern would be if the Blues were still on KMOX and the Cardinals got moved over to Y98 in St. Louis for nights like last night. I know during the Cup run in 2019, there were some early round games that were on Y98 while the Cardinals stayed on KMOX. Luckily the Blues haven't had to deal with that issue in awhile since their games on radio are now on 101 ESPN.

Congrats Ovechkin! Playing at a high level for such a long time is no small feat.
I heard about the number of games right before it happened. Pretty crazy how things like this align. I was curious to see the difference in shots. It also took Ovi well north of 1,700 more shots to break it. Gretzky handled the whole process with class and grace. Props to both of them!
