What a huge shot from Will. Nice way to finish the half. We better keep them off the offensive glass. Anytime you can get a stop against that mountain of a playbook is a win. You have to clear the glass.

3-13 from three and 9-13 from two … half our shots are threes, and we have a season’s worth of evidence we’re not good at them. Brad, you shouldn’t be posting from the bench. 🤣
The threes we're missing are really good looks. Can't pass them up. Have to make them. Can't think of a three that I was really unhappy with.

Our issue right now is on the defensive end. Our personnel in the paint(our bigs) are far below average at protecting the rim.

Purdue sets some awesome screens, we need to be a little more nasty getting over the top. I like have a guy with size on Braden. Tre?

I am watching, nad thinking: who would I want on my squad next year and in years to come? Who would I trust? Will, Tomi, KJ. I like ALL of these guys. But that's my draft order.

Um, I wanted Melo over LeBron. So I am as dumb, or way way more dumb, that NBA draft shot-callers. I know that. So why do I post my stupid thoughts here? Cause I am Illini. And want the Fighting Illini to achieve the glory they, we, and us, deserve.

Pretty much a predictable result....they made their shots....we didn't so much. But, with that said, we are only down by a layup.....so might want to keep Smith from shooting a handful of those without being guarded by anyone.

Some good things, especially Riley and White, but defensive deficiencies are always in play. Only 4 turnovers is a good thing....but Boilers had only 3.

We need to continue to get to the rim and really upgrade the defensive effort. Unfortunately, the Boiler guards know exactly what they want to do and can adjust to almost any defensive tactic. Not sure we can stop TKR from bullying his way to the bucket without fouling...Morez would help but would likely foul out in a hurry. TKR is NBA ready, especially physically.

Gotta hit shots to win this one...and play better defense. Both are not likely but hope springs eternal for our Illini hoopsters...ya never know!

Only 2 offensive rebounds in the first half. That's gotta change drastically in the second half if we're going to pull this one out.

In that locker-room, right now, leadership from the staff or roster will emerge. Or not. And then we will rightly judge. Bring it, O&B. Bring it!
