If we got Odom I would be curious what our starting lineup would look like, if we are also getting Sarr.

Of our current lineup, Will and KJ are gone. Presumably Odom isn’t coming here if he isn’t starting. I don’t think Sarr is coming here to come off the bench and I kinda doubt Morez sticks around if he isn’t starting. Also I’d be concerned with our defense with a small PG out there.

Not against it but i just wondering if there’s another option that might be a better fit.

Interesting. Tre not starting next year? Is that because Morez and Tre wouldn't be a good fit together? Tre's been one of our best two players the last few games and seems to really help on offense with spot-up corner threes and crashing the glass.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Tre, and I think he's one of the main reasons for Illinois' turnaround recently. I'd pay the man his money unless we're talking something astronomical.

He's a big piece. I'd pay that (yeah, it's not my money, but still). If Tre doesn't return, Illinois will need to fork over some pretty large cash to find someone as valuable in the portal.

Retention in an of itself makes it worth it for me. He’s a guy who the program knows. Getting a transfer guy for even a little less but similar is a risk not worth taking

How was Pepperdine so horrible this year (lost 22 games) with Odum, Coulibaly* and Todorovic?

*brother of Washington Wizards Bilal Coulibaly

Odum looks like a guy who excels at that level of competition, but then xfers to major conference and gives you 5 ppg off the bench (think Tyson Acuff of Rutgers).

Edit: The highlight reel isn't even super impressive to me (and as a side note - I hate when "no no no no no no YES" plays are included in highlight reels... its like, ok, so you want us to see this player take bad shots that somehow went in?)

I love shooters as much as anyone, but I wonder if the roster construction would be better if we went for a true big/post defender type as opposed to a stretch big. Obviously it'd be ideal to have a player who could do both but those kinds of guys are going to be starters getting big $
